Master of Arts in Education (MAEd)

1. To provide educational leaders the relevant knowledge and skills in enhancing and strengthening their managerial skills and capabilities; and
2. To equip with the ability to undertake critical inquiry and independent research in education.
X. Course Description

This is a 54-hour, three-unit course which aims to equip the graduate students with the knowledge on and skills of the methodology in English language testing being an
integral part of language teaching and learning process. It explores the principles and methods of assessing students’ performance and testing their achievement in language with

emphasis on the four macro skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It provides opportunities for students to gain in-depth understanding of the language and the chance to
prepare assessment tools and evaluate the same.

Grading Rubrics
The rubric for each requirement will be used as basis for evaluation and giving grades of the student’s output.

Policy on Late Submission


The deadlines for submission of projects and other requirements will be announced during the first day of class. No late projects and other requirements will be accepted.

Examination
Examination is a major requirement. No examination means incomplete of grade.

Written Assignments and Other Requirements


All assignments and other requirements completed must be submitted in hard copy.

1. For every medically necessary absence from class, student must make a reasonable effort to notify the Professor in advance. When student return to class, he/she must
bring a note identifying the date of and reason for the absence, and acknowledging that the information in the note is accurate.
Tardiness: In the professional world, tardiness is not tolerated. Late arrivals disrupt class and distract the students and the faculty from class activities. Please make every
effort to arrive on time.

Academic Integrity and Honor Pledge
