R. A. No. 1425- An act to include in the curricula of all republic and private Schools,
colleges and universities the course on the life, works, and writings of JOSE RIZAL,
particularly his novel NOLI METANGERE and EL FILIBUSTERISMO, authorizing the
printing and distribution.
1. After reading R.A. No. 1425, what provisions will you add to make it more relevant to
the youth like you?
● As a Filipino citizen and a youth of today's generation. When we hear the adage " Ang
kabataan ang pag-asa Ng Bayan". It is a timeless quote said by our national hero, Dr.
Jose Rizal. Dr. Rizal did not say that out of nothing. He meant something by it in hopes
that is will touch the sensibility of those who will hear it. The provision of Republic Act
1425 is that a subject about José Rizal should be included in the courses offered in both
public and private educational institutions especially his novel entitled Noli Me Tangere
and El Filibusterismo. The essence of the republic act 1425 in encouraging patriotism is
that it gives opportunity or allow students to see the life of Rizal. Maybe in that simple
way students may be able to understand, learn or even imitate Rizal's Love to our
country and to give the students and the future generations an ample background and
for them to understand about how Jose Rizal hands over his life for our country.

What Makes a Hero Today?

• A hero of today is made by a helping hand with a heart taking, care of someone
physically, mentally, or financially. anyone could be a hero just by being good to
someone neither just by doing your job right, comforting someone, helping them to
overcome their problems, or keeping someone safety. A hero is the person who stays
strong even facing a serious problem. Hero will find numerous ways to help other
people. Any person can be called a hero when saving someone else’s life. The person
who motivates other people to live their lives with courage and face all the difficulties
with head held high can be a hero as well. Sacrificing your life for other people is also a
heroic deed. A hero can be afraid as well, but his actions show that he can overcome his
fears in order to save someone. Heroes may be afraid of something, but they do not
afraid to show their courage when it is needed. Everyone can be hero by doing good or
right even they have fear of but are brave enough to still do something.

II. SHORT – ANSWER TEST

 There are many things I could say. The ability to stand up for your beliefs and
ideals without fear is the most important quality of a hero in the Philippine
culture. Instead of fighting them from within, people will get a chance to see you
fight for change from sidelines. Unfortunately, it has taken far too long for those
with this feature to make progress, but when they do, it has the potential to
transform everything- not just in our nation, but all over the world. The persons
character most possess a good personality and loyalty to one’s country and not to
one’s or one’s family interest and having regard for the poor and
underprivileged.
