Tmt. M. Daisy KVK, Namakkal has introduced paid training programmes & four
programmes were conducted during May & June 2017 at KVK, Namakkal.
Organic farming and cer fica on on 15.05.2017 followed by two trainings on
roof top gardening on 22.05.2017 & 22.06.2017 & one training on honey bee
rearing techniques on 06.06.2017 were conducted by agronomy, hor culture
& entomology scien sts. Totally 84 trainees were par cipated & benefi ed.
Organic farming methodologies, ways to get organic farming cer fica on, kits
required for roof top gardening, pest management in vegetable crops, rearing
of bees & honey extrac on were taught during these programmes.

Success story

2. Type of farm & stock size Hor cultural nursery - Propaga on and produc on of various
hor cultural plants by budding, gra ing and air layering in an area
of 5 acres.
3. Income generated / annum Rs. 5,50,000/- as a net profit.
4. Innova ve package of prac ce adopted v Year round mango produc on through different varie es gra ed
by the farmer / Top worked on a single mango tree. Single mango tree can bear
27 varie es of mango.
v Under Public private Partnership (PPP Model), he signed MOU
with TANUVAS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu and
sold 10368 no.of plan ng material for the benefit of farming
community of Namakkal District.
v 2000 mango trees top worked per year across Tamil Nadu and
Andhra Pradesh with farm size of one cent to one acre. So far
10000 tress top worked.
v He trained 72 gra ing persons from 14 districts to do all types of
gra ing work in fruit saplings under Na onal Hor culture
Mission.
