I. Problem Statement

Mrs. Tadino (the decision-maker) was worried about her replacement as the president
of St. Andrew College of Business and Science because she is already 60 years old and is
beginning to worry about her replacement as president of SACBS. She has three sons amd wants
one of them to take over as soon as possible.

II. Problem Analysis

Mrs. Gloria Tadino is already 60 years old and she is having a hard time choosing which
of her three sons who wants to take over soon. There is no contracts in her decision because she
is sure that whoever she chooses would gladly accept the offer. But the problem is she needs to
make an intelligence choice because her sons are too busy on their own work and company
that’s why she needs to choose who is capable of handling the school. Because in management
business firms should make sure that their manager are well qualified to handle their jobs
assigned to them and should have the skills required of a manager in effective performance of
their jobs are those referred to as technical, human, and conceptual.

knowledge in teaching them the right things
to do.

III. Possible Solutions

 Mrs. Gloria can generate a concept by assessing her sons’ personalities, Mrs. Gloria can tell
who she will chose to be the next president of the following:
-attitudes one of the most important steps you can take as a business owner and
become aware of how it impacts your work performance, relationship with your employees, and
everyone else around you,
-performances it usually refers to the achievement of desired goals,
-and experiences helps one to understand the opportunities that exist and all these
concepts, Mrs. Gloria can already determine to who is really the best for the position.

 Mrs. Tadino can choose by comparing their characteristics and skills, we are able to state
why he should and why he should not be the successor of SACBS.
a) Mario should be the next president because he is the eldest among the three
sons of Gloria. He is the most sociable and it is stated that he had been the superior of other
professionals. His only downside is that he had difficulties in budgeting.
b) Glenn, on the other hand, knows how to handle his money very well. He is very
ambitious and he only focuses on his job and rarely socializes with other people if it is not work-
related. It may be good for the business but can also be bad as time goes by.
c) Vincent, the third son, can also be suitable for the position based on his
experiences. He learned about various cultures from different people such as Canadians,
Australians, and Americans and the Ilocanos, the Igorots, and the Visayans. Also, he handled
Judo and received a gold medal. He has his own business using computers as his main
equipment. But despite all these achievements, we cannot deny the fact that he has not finished
his college degree.

 Mrs. Gloria Tadino can also require them to attend her St. Andrew College Of Business and
Science, Mrs. Gloria Tadino can reestablish contact between his three sons. Mrs. Tadino is
able to watch them and make decisions while doing so. There are other options for
handling this chaos; Mrs. Tadino might also ask her boys who they think would be the best
candidate to take over the school and expand it. When making this choice, Mrs. Tadino
should be aware that one of her three boys must be willing to lead, particularly in an
organization that is focused on education and can serve as the organization's public face.

IV. Criteria and Solution Selection

Based on the concept in assessing Mrs. Glorias’ sons, the most desirable successor would be
the third son, which is Vincent. He would be the ideal heir in this situation. He is Mrs. Gloria
Tadino's most sociable son and was raised in a social environment. In addition to being socially
adept, Vincent is also incredibly persistent when it comes to achieving his life's objectives. When
it comes to Vincent's human skills, he probably outperforms the other two of Mrs. Gloria
Tadino's three kids. Vincent also has technical skills, which are the capacity to employ
specialized knowledge or competence in carrying out certain tasks. Human skills are the capacity
to collaborate effectively with others, whether they are peers, superiors, or subordinates. A
person with strong human skills will also have a high level of self-awareness and the ability to
comprehend or empathize with the emotions of others. In that case, Vincent would make the
best successor because he had a variety of experiences that would have made him more
understanding. As the proprietor of St. Andrew College Of Business & Science, he was also
exposed to other cultures and has many contacts that can help him be more resourceful.

V. Solution Implementation

Mrs. Gloria Tadino can make her three sons reconnected by making them work to her
St. Andrew College Of Business And Science. In that way Mrs. Tadino can observe them and can
make her decisions clear. There are also alternative solutions to his commotion, Mrs. Tadino can
also ask her sons if who is the most desirable successor of the school and the most willing to
take care and expound the school. In making this decision, Mrs. Tadino should see it clear that
among her three sons it should have someone that is willing to lead, specially an organization
that is concerned in teaching and also can be the figurehead on the organization. Mrs. Tadino
has a competitive 3 sons among the three, there must have one to lead or work to her St.
Andrew College Of Business and Science.
Mrs. Tadino might also ask her boys who they think would be the best candidate to take
over the school and expand it. When making this choice, Mrs. Tadino should be aware that one
of her three boys must be willing to lead, particularly in an organization that is focused on
education and can serve as the organization's public face.

VII. Supplemental comments

It is very important to have knowledge about choosing a qualified manager to prevent

the business from going bankrupt and for the business to stand firm and operate for long term.
Managing is one of the most crucial part in business industry, it must be handled very well with
someone who has at least 5 or more years of experience since this part of the job must prove
effective. It is possible for a job to fail if not managed well and this might lead the business to
have lots of debts and worst it might become the reason for the business to close. Knowing
about management is very important in running a business as well as in choosing a manager for
a particular company who’s really the person not just a person but a person who has the
qualities of a good manager. Management really helps in achieving goals. It arranges the factors
of production, assembles and organizes the resources, integrates the resources in effective
manner to achieve goals.

III. Possible Solutions

 Environmental scanning is one of the possible solution because it’s a process that
systematically surveys and interprets relevant data to identify external opportunities and
threats that could influence future decisions. She must identify what external factors are
most effective to make the environmental scan a useful tool.
