Hi Clydesdale family ,

What a start to 2022!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their horses .

I have pulled in mine in preparation for our 2022 state show 😀 this show is bigger
and better than ever ; can't wait to see you all there .

Don't forget your points towards our yearly trophies . HI POINTS BREED , HI
POINTS HARNESS AND HI POINTS PARTBRED .

Our next event being discussed is a harness camp. Keep your eyes peeled for
this one - let's get out into nature and see what these horses are made of and
watch their eyes brighten and their souls open up being able to experience what
they were bred to do!

We have had to say goodbye to a few of our old time CCHSAWA friends of late.
It's been a very sad time and a lot of knowledge lost. Keep on learning out there
and asking lots of questions and keep this breed and it's history alive.

We would like to welcome all our new members aswell as our WA society is
growing . This is so exciting!

See you all soon and keep enjoying your horse.

MARCH 2022

CCHSWA 2022 State Show!

March 19th-20th at Northam Equestrian Grounds on Clarke St Northam.

Our annual state show is nearly here!

This year we have had a change of grounds and we are fortunate enough to have secured the use of the Northam
Equestrian grounds for the state show! These grounds are equipped with yards both outside and under shelter,
toilets/showers and a fully enclosed club room!

As always the Clydesdales will be the feature breed, but we will also be including Gypsy Cob, Drum horse, Shire,
Friesian WB, Walers, Highland Pony, Percheron, Cleveland Bay, any other Heavy horse and their respective part
breeds.

As normal the show will be spread across two glorious days starting with the in hand breed classes , ridden and
cart classes on Saturday 19th followed by harness classes on Sunday 20th March.

The grounds open from midday Friday 18th with camping available on site for a fee.

Competitors are also afforded the option of including dinner both nights on the entry forms which will be buffet
style dinner.

Due to COVID and the current restrictions we are unable to have spectators at the show, but we are expecting a
fantastic weekend with some amazing prizes organised by our committee and wonderful sponsors!

Get your entries in ASAP to go in the draw to win back your entry fees.

Please remember to sign in upon entry to the grounds both with us and with the COVID safe wa app or available
paper based register, at this time masks are required to be worn both inside and outside when social distancing is
not possible so please bare this in mind as you will need to provide your own mask.

This does not apply whilst you are in the ring with your horse!

As always enjoy yourself, clean up after yourself and do not hesitate to approach one of our lovely committee
members should you have any concerns or queries (we will be wearing our society shirts and committee badges)

Please note entries close Thursday 17th March, all entries after this date will incur a $30 late fee.

Over the last few months we have lost some very special
people who have had such a impact in the Clydesdale
world and our society.

CCHSWA would like to offer our heartfelt condolences

and wishes to the families and friends of the following
people who have unfortunately passed away.

Matilda Part bred Clydesdale Trophy

Created by Bronwyn Nutting in 2012

The Matilda part bred trophy was created after a part bred
Clydesdale won enough points overall over a weekend to win the
Rex Newbold trophy, however this trophy could only be awarded to
a full blood Clydesdale, Bronwyn decided that a trophy was needed
for the part breeds as well and thus created this trophy.

The trophy is named after Matilda who was Bronwyn’s own part
bred Clydesdale who so graciously put up with her inexperience as
she learnt about harness.
