INTRODUCTION

PLANTEAMIENTO DEL PROBLEMA

6 pieces are manufactured for each car that our client produces. To meet the
requirements of our client FORD, to produce a total of 10 cars, our demand as
their supplier is 60 pieces.

The main problems we have when manufacturing our parts are

● A poorly executed cut that causes variation in the dimensions of pieces.
● As the parts are the main assembly, there is a high probability that in the
event of any error on the part of the other stations, the 6 main parts will
have to be produced again.

4
JUSTIFICACIÓN

This project aims to improve our processes through Six Sigma standards and
reduce the DPMOs of our products to satisfy the voice of the customer. Since we
want the satisfaction of our FORD client, it is important to improve and
standardize our production processes, adhering to their requirements, offering
them products with the desired quality and within the estimated time.

5
ALCANCE DEL PROBLEMA

The project will be limited to addressing the cutting problems

of the pieces that will be assembled to make the main base of
the FORD plant car.

ID PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the project will be to increase the six sigma
level to at least 4.5 to enter into the margin of very little variation.
This will help standardize the process and easily respond to customer
requests. While level 6 is ideal, level 4.5 will serve as a good starting
point for further improvements in the near future.
