❖ ROLE OF INNOVATIVE AGRONOMIC TECHNIQUES IN REGENERATIVE
AGRICULTURE
▪Innovation can provide an opportunity for agriculture producers to increase productivity
while better managing natural resources.
▪ Agricultural innovations techniques are primarily concerned with a need for increasing production
(of food, fodder, secondary products) as well as enhancing quality (of produce, production process,
growing conditions)

Major technology innovations in the space have focused around areas

▪such as indoor vertical farming, automation and robotics, livestock technology, modern
greenhouse practices, precision agriculture and artificial intelligence, and blockchain.
❖ ROLES OF ROBOTICS IN AGRICULTURE
▪Robots in agriculture include weed control, cloud seeding, planting seeds, harvesting, environmental
monitoring and soil analysis
▪ Farming robots can perform various repetitive jobs like weeding, sowing, fertilizing, and spraying
▪The robot autonomously navigates to inspect crops and collect data from the agricultural area through its
integrated sensor system. Mobile manipulation through collaborative arms (harvesting, fruit handling).
Collection and conversion of useful information for the farmers. Selective application
▪ of pesticides. Selection to avoid food waste
▪The robots in the agricultural industry offer
▪ a higher quality of fresh produce, lower
▪ production costs, and a smaller need for manual
▪ labor
❖ ROLES OF ROBOTICS IN AGRICULTURE
PRODUCTION
▪Driverless tractors, drones for crop monitoring and data collection, autonomous precision seedings, automated
irrigation and harvesting systems, as well as milking dairy herds are some of the commonly used agricultural
robots used for farming, crop, and soil management, and livestock production.
▪Agricultural robots applying precision techniques can significantly reduce the amount of pesticides used by
applying pest-detection robotic solutions and eliminating them using precision techniques. The same kind of state-
of-the-art agricultural solutions can now be found in autonomous seeding robots
▪Robots have also played a crucial role in preventing losses as big as $43 billion due to weeds resistant to
herbicides. They are also set to help farmers by preventing some of the $43 billion losses created by herbicide-
resistant weeds.
▪Industrial robots help to increase productivity and efficiency on practically every manufacturing line. They are
designed to be able to perform a specific task repeatedly with no breaks. Industrial robots can run at their best
24 hours a day, enabling an amazing increase in productivity
▪The incorporation of robotics in agriculture improves both productivity and working conditions for farmers and
workers. Intelligent systems are becoming the ideal solution to drive precision agriculture. Today, a large number
of agricultural operations are already being done autonomously
❖ ADVANTAGES OF INNOVATIVE AGRONOMIC
TECHNIQUES IN AGRICULTURE
▪It prevents pollution, Saves energy, Prevents soil erosion, Encourages biodiversity, Animal-friendly, Reduces costs,
Improves food production with less waste, It improves public health.
▪Agriculture impacts society in many ways, including: supporting livelihoods through food, habitat, and jobs;
providing raw materials for food and other products; and building strong economies through trade.
▪For improving the production, land reforms are the first and predominant point. Machines, tractors, and implements
do land reforms. These machines have the qualities that make rugged farming areas smooth to work on the field
efficiently. Working on the field is easy, that means an improvement in productivity is easy.
▪Higher crop productivity.
▪Decreased use of water, fertilizer, and pesticides, which in turn keeps food prices down.
▪Reduced impact on natural ecosystems.
▪Less runoff of chemicals into rivers and groundwater.
▪Increased worker safety.
❖ DISADVANTAGES OF INNOVATIVE AGRONOMIC
TECHNIQUES IN AGRICULTURE
▪The excessive use of chemicals by the help of machines reduces the fertility of the land. Lack of practical
knowledge the farmers cant handle the machines properly. While the cost of maintenance is very high.
Overuse of machines may lead to environmental damage.
▪One of the most serious drawbacks of technology in agriculture is that it diminishes soil fertility. The soil of
the fields is harmed and fertility is reduced as a result of excessive use of technology. Fertilizers and
chemicals can boost productivity, but they can deplete soil fertility over time
▪Modern farming methods have overused the natural resource base.
▪Increased use of fertilizers has led to the loss of soil fertility.
▪The use of groundwater for tube well irrigation has led to water
▪ depletion.
▪Modern farming methods require a great deal of capital.
