Directions: Write short answers based on the following questions. 10 points each.

1. Share your thoughts on this assertion: "In today's workplace, communication can
either make or destroy careers"
- Effective communication can help facilitate with others enabling you to perform
your job efficiently thus resulting in career success. Poor communication, on the
other hand, can ruin your career by causing misunderstanding, missed
opportunities, conflict, the dissemination of misinformation, and mistrust.
Employees might not be motivated to work for such a company or for such a
manager who is unable to communicate important matters well.

2. What is a resume and its importance?


- A resume is a document created and used by a person to present their
background, skills, and accomplishments. It’s an informative document that
outlines your career history in an easy-to-read format. A resume is important
since it serves as a tool for you to highlight your relevant skills and qualities for a
job. Furthermore, your resume describes your qualifications, abilities, and what
makes you unique from the others.

3. Research different kinds of resume and co mpare and contrast each based on its
functions and parts.
- There are 3 most common different kinds of resumes; chronological resume,
function resume, and combination resume. A chronological resume lists your
work history under each job you have had, from the most recent job to the oldest
job while functional resumes focus on skills and experience rather than on
employment history, and the combination resume list both strengths of the other
two types of resumes however they list skills and qualifications first, followed by
work history.
