Sequences
A sequence is simply a set of numbers in a particular order or a set of numbers which follow
a pattern
The pattern of a sequence is the rule or design of the sequence. These patterns can be
expressed through:
i) Numbers
ii) Words
Therefore, the pattern for the above sequence is add 8 to the previous number.
Therefore, the pattern for the number sequence can be expressed as 1+8n where,
n = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Title : Futuristic building
Materials : Paper cups, mineral water bottle, glue, ruler and scissors,
Each group is to make building which has futuristic features using the minerals.
Introduction
Method
As, I am doing this. The material I used was cardboard, glue, plastic bottles, handicraft sticks,
wrapping paper and scissors.
I started by reffering to pictures in the internet about modern futuristic houses to get an
idea. I sketched a simple modern house based on a few ideas I found on the internet.
I started by measuring and cutting the cardboard accordingly into dimensional pieces. I
then cut windows and doors on the cardboard. After that I glued the cardboard pieces
together to make the house. I decorated the house with wrapping paper, plastic bottle and
handicraft sticks.
Result:
Modern House
Conclusion
Sequences are useful in number of mathematics disciplines. Sequences are the basis for
series, which are important in differential equations and analysis. From the mini project task
given I was able to understand and organize material to solve problems by learning
sequences.
