In this task, you are going to talk about problems in our community.
Pre- task:
Bingo
1. Let’s practice more vocabulary to talk about my city: Listen to the definitions, identify the
word on the bingo and cover the space.
2. Write down new vocabulary from each definition given by the teacher. Then in groups listen to
the teacher and try to define the word that you hear.
During Task:
3. Introduction activity: Don’t lose your pen, you will die. In groups try to match the sentences in
the correct order from the beginning until the end.
4. Listening: Watch some videos, reflect on the information provided, complete the chart below.
Discuss in pairs which of those issues affects your community.

● Practice Your Sound Bite: Always read your script out loud in a conversational tone so you
can judge if an audience will be able to understand it.
● Send Questions to Your Interviewee: Send the reporter or anchor to the interviewee. This
will guide the interview toward familiar waters and keep you from hemming and hawing
while you think the next question or response.
● Control Your Body Language: You’ll likely be nervous or amped up during your interview,
but strive not to let it show. Maintain eye contact with your interviewer
● Practice Ahead of Time (Practice…Practice…Practice…): It can make you more comfortable if
you practice a faux interview beforehand, either with a friend or in front of a mirror.
