Quality Matters Review Sheet

I chose the “Quality Matters” rubric to assess my class. Looking over the rubric, I felt as though my class fit most areas

of the rubric. There are a few things that I need to address, but that comes with the territory of learning something new.

The first thing I need to change is having a designated area for parents and students to not only introduce themselves

but interact as well. This can keep students and parents engaged with each other. The second thing I need to address is the

instructional wording and resources for my assignments. I think as an elementary school teacher whether in person or online, it

is vital that the teacher be explicit in directions, expectations, and available resources. This not only makes it easier for

students and parents, but it also ensures student success. The third thing I need to address is giving students and parents more

resources besides myself to make sure students have all the resources that they may need to make sure they have ample

opportunity to change anything they may encounter. It will also cut down on parents asking me for district numbers for district

level problems because they will already have them.

I look forward to going back and fixing the issues I found to make my course more user friendly and more supportive

for students and parents.
