Humans are a main cause to climate change (fix)

Introduction

A. List relevant information on topic to set up research question (including citations)

a. How many fossil fuels have humans used since time on earth—facts with citations
b. Why is fossil fuel use causing climate change—facts with citations (maybe switch these
two around)
B. Describe research question as a statement of uncertainty, doubt, or gap in knowledge (Working
research question—how have humans influenced climate change?)
C. Insert thesis statement (point because reason, or reason therefore point) (Humans must stop using
fossil fuels because they are the reason our climate is changing) (its working, find something that is
arguable)

Introduction

Body

Fossil fuel levels are declining

Fossil fuel levels are declining from the overuse from humans. The overexploitation of resources
has resulted in a wide spectrum of consequences, among which a significant reduction in the levels of
fossil fuels stands out. Fossil fuels are natural fuels made by the remnants of biological organisms from
the past, like oil and gas. Being such versatile resources, human has managed to process it to use it in
multiple daily tasks such as drive cars, fly airplanes or even turn on the stove, among others. Humans
use these fuels to drive cars, fly airplanes, turn on their stove, etc. This overexploitation of oil and gas
has caused an increase in the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, which constitutes a detrimental
effect for humanity. eHumans are overusing fossil fuels which is causing an increase in greenhouse gases
in our atmosphere. Before humans started using fossil fuels as a resource, the greenhouse gas levels
were at a low level (citation). However, Oonce humans started their use of fossil fuels, the emission they
produced caused a rise in the greenhouse gas levels.

Topic sentence one (Fossil fuel levels are declining)

 Evidence, explanation (talk about where fuel levels were at before humans were on earth vs
now)
 Evidence explanation (Why are fuel levels declining)
Due to its versatility, humans have developed a very important dependency on fossil fuels, which
represents a serious problem as it becomes the main reason for the declining levels of these resources.
The fossil fuel levels are declining because of human dependency on them. They are important for
transportation, heat, and livelihoods. Many people profit off the use of fossil fuels, so many corporations
and firms will continue to use them until there are none left. All oil and gas companies will continue to
use fossil fuels because that is where they profit from. Car dealers and dealerships will continue to use
and support fossil fuels until they can be fully electrically dependent. Since majority of their profit comes
from selling cars that use fossil fuels, there is always that underlying want to keep using fossil fuels.

 Evidence explanation (ways humans can preserve fossil fuels)

Humans can preserve fossil fuels by using more ecofriendly measures of transportation. Instead of
driving a car, they can bike, or ride a community mode of transportation. Humans can also utilize
renewable energy sources like solar, water, and wind power.

Humans have influenced global temperatures

Topic sentence two (Humans have influenced global temperatures)

Global temperatures have slowly been rising since humans have started existing on earth. In the most
recent years, more frequently.

 Evidence, explanation (how have humans influenced temperatures)

 Evidence explanation (where were the temperatures then vs now)

 Evidence explanation (

Topic sentence three (The damage done is not reversible)

 Evidence, explanation (can’t just magically get fossil fuel back

Fossil fuels are millions of years old; humans can’t just magically create more.

 Evidence explanation (Talk about if there is a way to cool the planet/how long)
 Evidence explanation (Habitats that are gone because of climate change)

Topic sentence four (things humans have built and destroyed) (working)

 Evidence, explanation
 Evidence explanation
 Evidence explanation

Conclusion

Insert reverse formation of topic sentence here (point because reason, or reason therefore point)

Humans are the main cause of climate change because of their overuse of earths natural materials.

Describe significance of conclusion here

This means that humans are basically killing themselves because they are killing the planet they live on.

Describe implications of conclusion here

Scholars and everyone in the world can see this to understand their impact on climate change and how
they can do their part in slowing the change.
