LAHORE UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT

SCIENCES (LUMS)
LUMS, being one of the top educational institutes of Pakistan, is renowned
greatly both locally and internationally for its excellent academic
standards as well as its state-of-the-art facilitation for extra curricular
activities through various student-led societies. One such pioneering
society is ours: Sports at LUMS (SLUMS). We also house multiple courts for
various sports including, but not limited to, tennis, basketball, squash,
badminton, amongst other facilities such as grounds for cricket & hockey,
and an international-standard swimming pool.

SPORTS AT LUMS (SLUMS)


One of the largest societies at LUMS, SLUMS caters to over 80% of the
student body, overseeing 20+ year-round sporting tournaments being
conducted on university premises. We have constantly and consistently
delivered with regards to the organization of mega-scale sports-
related events in collaboration with big brands like PEPSICO, Nesvita,
Daikin & shakarganj, amongst many others. Our main aim is inclusivity
- which we achieve through inviting numerous other leading
universities in the country to compete with our teams. Our sponsors
also remain one of our top-most priorities - next to the sportsmen we
represent - and our partnership shall always remain a mutually
beneficial one.
LUMS SPORTS FEST '23
LUMS Sports Fest is the flagship event of the Sports at LUMS
Society, and its 12th annual edition is set to be held in the upcoming
college year. We usually host upwards of 2000 participants from
reputable colleges & universities from all around Pakistan, giving
every sportsman/woman a chance to prove their abilities. The age
category of these participants is decidedly 18-22 years, catering
mainly to the student youth community. Lastly, the event is a 3-day
national-level event with sporting tournaments ongoing the entirety
of each day, and socials like a concert or qawwali night taking up
the first 2 nights, with a big closing ceremony on the very last day.

EVENT SPECIFIC PROPOSALS
Sports Events at LSF:
Following are the events available for individual sponsorship. The sponsor will have

exclusive rights over the branding opportunities available for the event. These include

the event venue, equipment and more.


For each event, we have 4 categories i.e Male U -19 and A-19, Female U-18 and A-19.

1. Badminton (Male/Female):-
Badminton matches will be played on the
indoor courts inside the Sports Complex and
standees + runners can be placed around
each court, though the runners shall have to
be provided by the sponsor themselves.

2. Cricket (Male):-
Matches will be played in the outdoor
cricket ground, with standees & sponsor-
provided runners placed along the boundary
ropes.
3. Futsal (Male/Female):-
Futsal matches shall be played in the
outdoor football fields and sponsors +
runners be can placed alongside boundaries.
Additionally, the sponsor can provide
branded footballs for either the entire
tournament or the semis/finals only.
4. Netball (Female):-
Netball, which shall be played near the football
fields, can also use sponsor-provided branded
balls. Additionally, runners around the court,
standees and branded bibs can also be
provided by the sponsor that shall be worn by
teams during matches.

5. Squash (Male):-
The squash courts are located within the sports
complex and offer unique opportunities for
branding. Apart from placing standees,
multiple walls can also be used to place
posters & advertisements provided by the
event sponsor.
6. Table Tennis (Male/Female):-
Table Tennis will be played right at the heart of
the Sports Complex, with standees placed all
around the playing area along with the
company’s runners if the sponsor is willing to
provide those.
7. Tennis (Male/Female):-
The tennis courts are located right in
between the Sports Complex and the
volleyball courts, providing an opportunity for
standees to be placed inside as well as on
the area surrounding the courts.

8. Basketball (Male/Female):-
Basketball courts are located inside of the
Sports Complex. Standees & runners can be set
around these courts. Moreover, the sponsor may
also provide branded balls & bibs to be used
during matches.

9. Volleyball (Male/Female):-
The volleyball courts are the first to be seen
when walking towards either the Complex or the
fields. Branding can be done in the form of
standees, posters, as well as sponsor-provided
branded balls & bibs that may be used during
the match.

10. Swimming (Male/Female):-


Swimming events shall take place in the Aquatic
Centre, and as the whole centre will be at the
sponsor’s disposal, standees & runners can be
placed all over it. There is also a restaurant
(Green Olive) inside the Centre, which only
adds to the student attraction it holds.
Social Events at LSF:
Concert:-

The concert shall consist of a famous band/artist performing for the
participants of LSF. This way, the players will get a chance to relax and
enjoy the entertainment after a day of intense sporting activities. A night to
remember for sure!
The following will be provided to the sponsor of the concert:
1. Sole title sponsorship
2. Logo on the backdrop made for the concert as well as the closing.
3. Logo on promotional material for the concert (posters, flyers, etc.)
4. Invites sent to company representatives for the concert and closing
ceremony, respectively
5. Logo on the concert tickets, if given to participants
6. Logo on LSF '23 Social Media Pages
7. Ads on the SMD Screens
8. Multiple standees with the sponsor's branding put up around the concert
Opening Ceremony and SRP event:
Expected head count : 1800

Estimated Cost : 400,000


The opening Ceremony is held on the first day of event inside the Sports
Complex where all the delegations line up and the trophy for LSF is revealed.
Alongwith that, all the major guidelines are communicated and the event
sponsors and officials are announced. After the ceremony, there is a social
responsibility initiative taken by the society in collaboration with a sponsor e.g
blind cricket matches etc.
The following will be provided to the sponsor of the closing ceremony:

2. Logo on the backdrop made for Opening Ceremony
3. Logo on promotional material for the opening ceremony (posters, flyers, etc.)
4. Invites sent to company representatives for the opening ceremony

7. Multiple standees with the sponsor's branding put up inside and outside
sports complex.
Closing Ceremony:-

Estimated Cost : 1,800,000
The Formal Dinner and the Closing Ceremony is the marks the end of the
Sports fest, with the announcement of the winners and recognition of
extraordinary athletes. The Closing revolves around a unique theme and a
sports celebrity is invited to distribute some of the awards. Representatives of
the sponsoring company are also invited for the distribution of awards, and the
dinner. This time we are focusing on improving this event by coming up with a
unique theme and since it would be the last event, we want to end it in a way
that somehow we keep all the participants united for promoting sports.We are
open to sponsors for the ideas for opening ceremony

Delegate Lounge:-

The delegate lounge is set up for the delegates to have some time to
relax and enjoy. It contains a number of activities depending on its theme
and is situated as the centre of attraction during the duration of the
event.
The following will be provided to the sponsor of the delegate lounge:
1. Sole title sponsorship
2. 8x10 poster on front entrance with the sponsor’s logo
3. Stalls setup for the purpose of sampling the sponsor's product/s etc.
