Greetings, and introduction

Good day, everyone; to our principal, Sir Luisito V. De Guzman, to our teachers, and to our fellow
students. And before we start let us introduce ourselves, I am Ysza Mhara Lorraine C. Molase, I am
Glenn D. Cha, and we are from Grade 8 Narra. *Kumustahan*

Opening Remarks

Glenn: To begin, we are pleased to have our principal IV, Dr. Luisito V. De Guzman to deliver the
opening remarks.

Ysza: Thank you, Sir Luisito V. De Guzman for your interesting, and thought-provoking message for
us: and now I would like to call Ma’am Susana Mamuri, Head Teacher III of Filipino Department to
give us a message.

Glenn: Thank you, Ma’am Susana Mamuri for your wonderful message for us.

Mystery Reader

Ysza: Now, let us hear some stories from our mystery readers. The first mystery reader will read us
an English story. Every story has corresponding questions, so be attentive. Listen to every word
carefully.

Glenn: That was really fascinating. Did you understand the story or its message? If you did, that is
amazing to hear. Now, let us answer some questions related to the story.

Glenn: At this time, let’s hear a Filipino story that will be told by our second mystery reader. Listen,
and analyze every message implied in the story.

Ysza: Thank you for that astounding story. After analyzing the story, do you understand what the
message meant? To answer that question, let us answer some questions.

Importance of Reading

The importance of reading is to improve your communication skills, educates you, keep your brain
healthy, reduces stress and anxiety, motivate and inspire you, simulates your creativity, strengthens
your writing abilities.

*Brief conversation*

Glenn: To answer that question I asked, the English club officers created an acrostic that states the
importance of reading in our lives.

*Acrostic*

Ysza: Thank you for that informative acrostic. The Filipino club officers will read us something to help
us understand more about reading, and its importance.

*Read*

Glenn: Thank you…

Announcement

Ysza: The English club members are encouraging teachers, principals, and our fellow students to
donate a book for our book pantry. You can donate it at the school’s library on any day of this week.
The books that you will donate will be given to some deserving students. This program aims to
spread the willingness of the students to help, donate, or share to their co-learners. Thank you.

Closing Remarks

Glenn: Finally, to give her closing remarks, I would like to introduce our enthusiast, humble, and
gorgeous Grade 8 English teacher, and English club adviser, give a round of applause, Ma’am Josie
Martin.
