Ms. Stover did a great job giving students behavior specific feedback. She monitored the classroom and was able to identify and
describe both the student and the behavior being recognized. She also provided the class with enough wait time for them to work out
the math problem. She exapanded the students thinking by asking them why they chose a certain math operation to solve the
problem. Ms. Stover stated the I can statement. She took anecdotal notes during the small group instruction time.

Items to consider:
Give the students the opportunity to read the I can statement aloud and explain what that success criteria would look and sound like. I
would encourage more conversation with the students and student to student dialogue during your small group instruction time.
