Year 9/10 Agriculture

Agriculture Skills Portfolio

Task: In agriculture, you spend your practical lessons building your skills in areas that are of interest to you.
This portfolio aims to provide evidence of your skills, whilst developing your writing skills. You will be applying
your practical skills, forming questions, creating a sequence of steps, and reflecting on your skills to construct
a portfolio of agricultural skills you have developed. Your skills will be assessed and if we can identify that you
are developing capabilities in your areas of interest, a certificate will be awarded to you (this is not an
accredited qualification). This can be used as evidence of your skills in the future when applying for jobs,
apprenticeships, or work experiences.

Using a highlighter, select 2-3 skills to develop in our practical lessons:

Cement Mixing Drenching

Cattle handling Irrigation
Sheep handling General farm maintenance
