The constant actions and disregard of people are destroying the planet which is God's

creation, so it is imperative that we find solutions in order to show how much we love and care

about all of God's work. By looking at when the problem started, the causes and effects it has

today, people's views, and the solutions we can see how big the problem is and how we can

stop it. Since the start of the industrial revolution, the earth has suffered through various acts of

pollution which continue on to this day, socially people try to get others to stop this constant

amount of neglect however it does no good in the long run. This is very relevant since through

this pollution the earth is warming up, there are enormous amounts of garbage patches, and the

difficulty that some have breathing.

 By looking back on the history of mankind we would be able to see when this destruction

started to occur and how long it has been going on while also getting a glimpse of how God was

in the situation and how he affected it. When the destruction first started to happen people didn’t

really care much because they were too focused on the advancements they were making and

didn’t think that it would cause too many problems and just continued what they were doing

without a care and without realizing they were actually hurting God. “God can be found

anywhere in nature cause he made the earth in seven days which means his being is in

everything he has made on the planet including the the plants, animals, and even the ocean

itself and this is just the beginning of everything else he has made” (Checkpoint 6, Gods

Original Revelation). In the excerpt I spoke about how God is in everything in the natural world

as it was taught to me in our lessons and I realized how right it was because God’s love is

everywhere around us meaning its in nature so when we destroy that very nature we are hurting

God. “Engineering developments are resulting in resource depletion and environmental

destruction. Modern technologies used in the engineering and manufacturing industry have had

a major impact on our life in the past few years. Due to the rapid changes in the engineering

and manufacturing industry have been drastic changes in the environment “

(ConserveEnergyFuture.com). With the advancement of technology the environment takes a big

hit and this was especially tough the first time during the industrial revolution and God was

present during all those moments in history as we destroy his creations even though we are

supposed to respect all of his creations with respect, but right now we have other different

causes.

  The current causes and effects happening at this moment show that we continue on this

path of destruction due to people’s choices of what is right and wrong which are influenced by

different aspects of life and the various actions people display in front of each other. It is very

important to make sure to show kindness to not just people but to our surroundings as well

since we are living on God’s creation and we should show him how much we love him and

everything he creates “Justice is concerned with giving both God and neighbor what is their due.

It is the habit of thinking about the needs and rights of others as much as our own needs''

(Meaning of Goodness Notes). As God is everywhere and in all of his creations then we should

show the environment the respect we show people, the quote presents a clear idea of how we

should treat things and the destruction we are causing isn’t what we should be doing. There are

different ways that this destruction is occurring right now, “Major causes of environmental

problems are population growth, wasteful and unsustainable resource use, poverty, and

exclusion of environmental costs of resource use from the market prices of goods and services.

pollution, environmental degradation, and other environmental problems are Population growth“

(LemonBayHigh.Com). These types of destruction make it so that it is hard to breathe for

humans, causing animals to be sick thanks to the toxic ecosystem, and killing plant life due to

the poisoning of soil along with blocking sunlight. If this keeps on going on, the very planet God

created will be gone and it is highly doubtful that many people don’t have their own thoughts on

what is happening with this problem.

  There are many different views that people have on this issue which are powered one

way or another by the different experiences they had with the Seven Sacraments. Each of the

Seven Sacraments plays a part in a person's character whether they notice it or not and it is that

exact experience that helps in changing and fixing a person's views to what they currently are,

so with that it is easy to see how big of a problem the environmental destruction is. “ The Seven

Sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant, and important for

Christians” (Communion/Sacraments Notes). Through the different ceremonies of the seven

sacraments people are able to build up their grace with that they would have their views based

on them which would most likely show how they hate the situation. Along with this they will be

able to voice out their views to others which will hopefully connect to their experience with the

Seven Sacraments and be able to turn their views to ones that are able to see the current

situation for what it is and that is devastation. “ But in the US, that divide is much sharper,

who are on the right politically would prioritize protecting the environment, even if it caused

slower economic growth and some loss of jobs, compared with 87% of those on the left”

(TheGuradian.com). While a majority of people don’t agree with the view of helping stop the

environmental destruction there are still those who see it as important to preserve Gods beauty

and that is all it takes for solutions to the problem to be born and acted upon so others can see

how great it is and even change the views that they have.

  However, there are always solutions to problems and even things individuals can do on

their own would be of big assistance due to the works of Justice. There are big things that

people are able to do when they put their minds to it as it happens everyday and this is the kind

of problem that if many people push themselves to work hard then the solutions to them will be

found out and put into motion really quickly.“ The form of social action that seeks to transform

structures of sin and to create structures of greater justice is called works of Justice”
(Checkpoint 3, Creating a Just Society). With works of justice, people get to see how much the

environmental situation should change and come up with solutions for it. It is very important that

people make sure to try their best to show how much they know that we have built a structure of

sin when it comes to the environment and we are going to do our absolute best to correct many

years of mistakes made by us. “Changing the way we power our lives does not have to mean

that our current lifestyles are negatively impacted... We need to make these new sources of

power affordable, accessible and sustainable to countries all around the world. We win when

everyone wins by adopting our new energy innovation options “ (inthistogtheramerica.org).

There have been many different solutions that have been thought of to combat the problem

such as recycling, renewable energy, or passing legislation but the most important thing as that

we as individuals see that the problem starts with us and we must do our best to find a better

and more permanent solution that what we currently have now to keep God’s creation as it is in

its beauty and love.

 Many things were spoken about when it came to the destruction of the environment that

we live in and the very creation of God himself, so it’s very important to take away things that we

know that we do and things that we can fix. The history of environmental destruction goes back

a long history and there have been many causes and effects back then and currently which

aspects relate to the various lessons that we have gone through over the years. As such we

need to reflect on that so that we can become better in the future. People have different views

on this subject and solutions to it as well but it’s important to make sure that no matter what

happens we make sure to preserve God’s creations and show him how much we love and

appreciate him through that action.
