Purpose 1. Disconnect
This kit provides 4 folder leaf springs to increase solenoid P/J
pinch roll tension to minimize folder jams.

Procedure:
__ 1. Switch off the power and disconnect the
power cord. 2. Remove pivot screw

__ 2. Remove chute assembly (PL 17.149 item 16).

a. Unplug nip solenoid. Figure 1.
b. Remove pivot screw. Figure 1.
c. Take out chute, use caution not to
damage mylar guide.
__ 3. Install the four leaf springs, one on top of
each of the pinch rolls to increase tension.
(One leaf spring per pinch roll).
a. Remove pinch roll mounting screws.
b. Mount leaf spring on top of pinch roll
using existing screw. Place the right
angle of the leaf spring over the top of the
chute and centered on the pinch roll
Mount the leaf springs with right angle over
spring. Install all 4 leaf springs. Figures 2
top of chute and leaf is flush with pinch roll
and 3.
__ 4. Reinstall the chute assembly.

__ 5. Reconnect the power cord, turn on machine
and check for proper operation.
