“BUT nothing is more painful than being stuck somewhere you do not belong any-
more!”

walang pag asenso at napag-iiwanan!
- Christians who are living in comfort zone.
- Afraid to make a change and does not make an impact
- Madami pong ganyan! Mga takot at laging pa-safe
“They do not know that to be always SAFE is accepting to be INSIGNIFICANT”

- They usually miss opportunity because it usually involves RISK.

- They are more afraid of what they might loose than what they might Gain!
- They are mediocre, living in comfort zone, not knowing that their comfort zone
has never been a good place for their GROWTH!

* But that is not what God wants us to be!

- He want us to be EVER-INCREASING, EVER-GROWING AND EVER-IM-

PROVING!

(NOTE: Let them think first)

- Some will say, “influence”,

* BUT LET ME TEACH YOU TODAY ONE WORD HOW CAN WE HAVE
LEVEL UP OR STEP UP IN OUR LEADERSHIP…

- And the word is “SERVE”!

- Leadership is SERVICE
“Sa mundo na ang Leadership ay about position, about gaano ka kataas, gaano
kadami ang iyong mga followers, IKAW AY MAG SERVE”

* Bare with me kasi baka hindi po natin ma initindihan ito.

- Dahil maraming mga tao nagkakamali dito.

- Maraming tao misguided ng idea na leadership is about getting subordinates
who you can use as slaves to do their job for you.
* BUT Listen to this!
“Entitlement and self-importance are the opposite of leadership”

- If we think that being a leader is having that license to be above someone or a

group of people you are getting it wrong.
- That is so far from the leadership that is define in the bible.
- actually that is the opposite.
- The bible tells us that

“The greatest among you shall be your servant” - Matthew 23:11

- If you want to be the best, you need to be the least.

- God’s word teaches us that the greatest leaders are those people who are leading
with servanthood attitude.
- For these servant-leaders,
Servanthood is a door opener
Servanthood is a bridge builder
Servanthood is a lifestyle!
- Madaming nagmamahal, madaming minamahal
- Madaming na wi-win!
- Madaming na lelead kay Jesus.

* NOW IF WE WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT LEADERSHIP IN THE

BIBLE...

- LET US LOOK ON HOW WE CAN DEFINE LEADERSHIP AS SERVICE

And we will look at the Life of Jesus….
- IBA PO MAG LEAD SI JESUS!
- For Him, His capacity to serve is His gift to His disciples
- His ability to serve is His skill to win people
- And His willingness to serve people is His choice!

Philippians 2:6
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to
be used to his own advantage;

* Kaya iba po si Jesus e.

- But hindi.
- He showed us the true meaning of Leadership!
- Service!!!
Matthew 20:28
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his
life as a ransom for many.”

* HE CAME TO SERVE!

- And we are ought to do the same!

“This will teach us that the way to go up is down”

REMEMBER: That the END goal is Servanthood, not Leadership.

- Someday you will have people under you, magkaka life grouo ka na sarile mo
pero you will lead to serve.
- Again! Take note! Leadership is just a mean to serve, the end goal is LEADER-
SHIP!
- Sabihin natin ng sabay sabay!
- “I will lead to serve!”

* Now are you ready to Level up and STEP UP IN LEADERSHIP?

- If yes... Let me give you...

Three Things a Servant- Leader must do.

1. We Ought to Serve God

1 Samuel 12:24
But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider
what great things he has done for you.

* Kung may UNA at nag iisa tayong pinaka dapat i serve, si God yun!

- Jesus Christ has given us His life and we are also ought to give our life for Him.
Church. Usher, music or ano mang min-
istry.
- Campus ministry. Maliit na bagay!

* Our service to God can ONLY be shown by our complete obedience to His
word!

- Dapat marunong tayong sumunod sa pinapagawa ng master natin who is God.

- What ever it is that is our duty as servant leaders!
“You are responsible to whatever word you receive from the Lord”

* You can honour God thru your service and God will also honour your service!

Ap-
preciated yan lahat ni Lord
- And Leaders who have God as their master has the unlimited potential for his
sources is from the Lord!
- Idea, wisdom, provision, love, grace, mercy and etc. Things that we need to lead
people rightly.
- He can give it to us unlimitedly!
(Expound)
* Do you want to have a Step up in Leadership?

- Serve God!!!!

Romans 12:1
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

2. We Ought to Serve Other People

Galatians 5:13-14
16. “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your
freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.  For the
entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbour as
yourself.”

* High Capacity leaders have one thing in common: a heart to serve and love peo-
ple!

- Make sure you serve your people by:

- Making time for your people.
- Listening to your people.
- Connect with your people.
- Empower your people.
- Celebrate with your people.
- Fight for your people.

* Your people are your greatest asset. serve them thru these!
- Sometimes the biggest breakthrough in Leadership come by keeping the small-
est service for people!
- Kahit pag baligbaligtarin natin!
- Importante ang tao at dapat natin silang mahalin!

* One of the myths about leadership is what we call the “Celebrity Leaders”
tells you that the more successful you are, the less people you have to talk to.

- That’s a lie [and pride]. Isolation will lead to temptation and lost ministry.

Matthew 25:40
“The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

* Leaders: Your goal is not to hang on to every person indefinitely, but to leave
them better than you found them by serving them wholeheartedly

- Do it as if you are doing all of these for the Lord!

3. We Ought to Serve the Authority

Romans 13: 1-5

All of you must obey those who rule over you. There are no authorities except the
ones God has chosen. Those who now rule have been chosen by God. 2 So
whoever opposes the authorities opposes leaders whom God has appointed.
Those who do that will be judged. 3 If you do what is right, you won’t need to be
afraid of your rulers. But watch out if you do what is wrong! You don’t want to be
afraid of those in authority, do you? Then do what is right, and you will be
praised. 4 The one in authority serves God for your good. But if you do wrong,
watch out! Rulers don’t carry a sword for no reason at all. They serve God. And
God is carrying out his anger through them. The ruler punishes anyone who does
wrong. 5 You must obey the authorities. Then you will not be punished. You must
also obey them because you know it is right.

* May it be our parents, kahit president natin sa class room.

- Kahit yung teacher mo or ung leader mo sa thesis!
- Si Lord nag appoint niyan!
- Kahit presidente or mayor!
- Lahat si Lord ang nag appoint!!!

* So serve and obey them!

Disobedience to the authorities is disobedience to God.

- (Emphasize!) Dont get me wrong ha! Syiempre kapag kasalana o pg pinapalayo

Sundin mo!
- Serve them!

* I pray na makilala tayo as leaders who are worth following for kasi marunong
tayong sumunod sa batas trapiko.

- sana makilala tayo as mga leaders na magalang sa teachers and mga authorities!
(Expound)

CHALLENGE
* It is hard to serve

- Nakakapagod, nakaka draine minsan.

- BUT THE REALITY IS: Tama, nakakapagod.

Colossians 3:23-24
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord
rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as
your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”

- At the end naman ang hahanapin sayo ni Lord is kung naging servant ka.

Matthew 25:23
“His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been
faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share
your] master’s happiness!”

- Just like in this story.

- One day, you will share happiness with God.
- You will have the best seat in heaven with Jesus and He will be gladly to tell
you!!!
- “WELL DONE!”
- So STEP UP IN LEADERSHIP! Lets Serve!!!
