1. Cognate
a. Definition: A word that has the same linguistic derivation as another; from the original root

2. Accuracy
a. Definition: The degree to which the result of a measurement, calculation, or specification
conforms to the correct value or a standard.

3. Pictogram
a. Definition: it’s a visual representation of a word or a phrase.
b. Sentence: Debby found a pictogram of skull instantly knew it was poisonous
4. Glyphosate
a. Definition: a synthetic compound which is a nonselective systemic herbicide, particularly
effective against perennial weed
b. Sentence: Farmer frank studied his crops and found glyphosate residue
5. Denotation
a. Definition: the literal or primary meaning of a word, in contrast to the feelings or ideas that the

a. Definition: A general sketch, account, or report, indicating only the main features, as of a
book, subject, or project.
b. Sentence: every great writer begins there writing process making an outline
14. Genetics
a. Definition: the study of heredity and the variation of inherited characteristics
b. Sentence: the genetics that each of my parents have been visible in every one of my siblings.

a. Definition: The study of the distribution and patterning of speech sounds in a language and of
