INTRODUCTION

1. Proposed Name of Business:

“The Grounds”
When creating a cup of brewed coffee, the main component for it is the coffee
grounds. We can say that the grounds are the fundamental or primary ingredient for it.
That’s where we got the name of our café business. We want people to make our café
the primary source of their favorite drinks because nowadays, coffee is essential to
most people since it helps them throughout their day. In addition, most people who drink
coffee are exploring more types and tastes of coffee that we can offer to them.

2. Company/Product Logo:

On our logo, you can see the name of our business as well as our tagline. You
can also see a coffee bean at the back of the name of our business. Since we will run a
coffee shop, the coffee bean is the main ingredient that we will need in order to produce
high-quality coffee. The color scheme that we chose for our logo is a neutral color
scheme to match the vibes and aesthetics of coffee and in order for our customers to
easily distinguish that we mainly serve coffee. This logo also features a simple and
minimalistic vibe, which matches that of a coffee. We believe that this logo will ensure
that we will attract customers who want to have a sip of a good cup of warm coffee to
boost them and give them a smile on their faces for their entire day.
3. Tagline:
“Enjoy Life With a Sip of Coffee”
We aspire to be your go-to spot for your daily coffee grabs. Now more than ever,
take some moments to enjoy and relax with our soothing café scent and perfectly
brewed coffees. Do not let your life unscented with a delicate coffee. The Grounds brew
for you, we'll always provide you with the best cup in your very own hands.

4. Name of Owner/Owners (Corporation):

Mr. Aldrich Emilio Bonzon
Mr. Archer Troy Dass
Mr. Rafael Macalino
Mr. Rowel Anton Pascual
Mr. Viggo Salvador
Ms. Allyssa Aguinaldo
Ms. Arabelle Villarin
Ms. Jermielle Zapata

Having a group with eight members, we chose to establish our business as a

Corporation, which means that each one of us will be owners. Running a business is
indeed difficult but having as many as eight people run it will make it a little bit easier
because, one, there will be more collaboration, minds, suggestions, and ideas to make
the business successful, more powerful, innovative, unique, and creative. Two, funding
the business will be much less of a burden because each one of us owners will equally
contribute to funding our business by either requesting loans from banks or simply
putting our savings as an additional contribution to funding our business. Lastly, we will
have a healthier work environment that is also free from burden and stress because
every profit to be made and every work to be done for our business will be equally
distributed to each owner, and having eight owners mean that each one will have an
equal share of profit and work to do that will not be too much of a burden, also, we will
be able to share, show, and apply our skills, knowledge, experiences, opinions, views,
and insights about our business each time with each other in order to improve our
business more and in order for us to keep track of what happened, what happens, and
what will happen to our business.

5. Description of the Business:

The Grounds will provide you with delicate and high-quality coffee every time!
Our coffee shop will provide different varieties and choices of perfectly crafted drinks,
caffeinated or non-caffeinated, and top-notch pastries and bread to pair with your choice
of drink or on its own. The Grounds will be your one-stop shop for your daily grab of
caffeine every day, open 24/7. In addition, we will provide our customers with a serene
and safe environment for them to study, work, have meetings, or just have some time
for themselves and relax. Most importantly, we will offer the satisfaction that everyone
needs, along with the smile that each person will wear throughout their marvelous day.

6. Location of the Business:

Unicenter Building, Caimito St., cor Samson Road, Caloocan City, Metro Manila,
NCR, Philippines
We chose to have our coffee place established in this location because our target
potential customers are students and workers that need a dose of coffee to get boosted
throughout their day. Since this location is near schools, offices, residential houses, and
subdivisions, this location will be a perfect place to start up our business.
7. Funding Requirement:
Such as with other known businesses in the industry, our business also requires
some funding not only to keep our business alive but also to keep up with the new
trends in the society that surrounds our starting business. Since this business is under
the corporation form of business venture, we, the proponents, each decided to
contribute a certain amount of funds with each other to come up with the target budget
needed to run our business smoothly. We decided to come up with this initial fund for
the first year of our business venture. A total of ₱ 5,000,000.00 from a ₱ 625,000.00
