in North Kalimantan, there is potential for hydropower up to 9 GW, development of hydropower will be made on a
demand basis. If the PLTA in North Kalimantan is developed by the private sector, then the risk of demand
uncertainty can result in losses for PLN as an off-taker. then the buy-sell option with a take-and-pay scheme is the
right option so that the burden and risk of demand uncertainty is not borne by PLN.

Electrical Energy Power Exchange with Sarawak (Malaysia)

o PLN purchases electricity from Sarawak through a 275 kV interconnection transmission
with a contract power of 110 MW until 2021, this contract can be extended with a 150 kV Khatulistiwa interconnection system
power exchange scheme if the two systems are over-supplied at different times so that
they can fill each other's supply shortages.

the equator system is very crucial
o For an isolated 20 kV system which is currently still supplied from PLTD BBM, the power
in this system is still experiencing limitations due to the almost no addition of new
generator capacity, while the load there continues to grow rapidly.

The plan to move the national capital has been announced by the president in 2019. The government targets the master plan for the construction
of a new capital city to be completed by the end of 2020. The estimated need for IKN is 800 MW, currently the electricity load is 15.89 MVA, the
current electricity demand is supplied from the Petung 90 MVA substation. the needs of this IKN will be supplied from the Kalseltengtimra system.

2 districts in North Kalimantan which are directly

adjacent to Sabah, Malaysia: Nunukan Regency and
Malinau Regency, most of the population in these two
areas still do not enjoy PLN electricity, some others still
use private generators and communal PV mini-grid from
the local government.

One of the factors due to the unavailability of road

access that allows for the construction of an electricity
Isolated systems 20 kV distribution network.
