POEM ANALYSIS

Personally, I believe that the poetry by Bonino et al. and Nancy Smith demonstrates the
distinctions and how both genders reveal the disparities and disadvantages associated with
each gender. There was a period when we learned that men should work, and women
should take care of the home. Wherein this poem demonstrates the inequities and
disadvantages that men and women face with the world, not just for themselves but also
for society. The poem makes it quite evident that each gender suffers unique obstacles in
life.

I believe that the second stanza of "For every woman, there is a man" accurately depicts
how men demonstrate their authority over women. Each line and stanza of the poem
illustrates how women are abused daily simply because they are women. This poetry
helped me comprehend the various perspectives on how women were used in various
ways. From the beginning to the finish of the poem, it demonstrates that there are men who
willfully conduct acts that may result in violation in order to prove their authority and
power to those around them. This poetry enables me to broaden my knowledge, beliefs,
and understanding of the fact that not everything about gender equality is equal.

The poetry that shows disadvantages in men are Nancy Smith's "For Every Woman."
The poetry demonstrates that some of us have clearly forgotten that there is a man who is
clearly not the man we anticipate. The majority of us believe that Man should be strong and
should avoid anything that would result in weakness. This poem demonstrates
unequivocally that there is pressure on the gender of Man to act appropriately and that
being weak is unacceptable. Whereas it indicates that there are times when we stress that
man should not be weak in anything he does because weakness is not a characteristic of
men.

According to my interpretation of Mr. Bonino's poetry, "For every woman, there is a

man," he wishes for us to make a shift and recognize that not everything revolves around
their own world. Being domineering in all areas and demeaning women would accomplish
nothing. The poem demonstrates unequivocally that instances of gender injustice did exist.
It reveals how men treated women poorly out of a desire to be robust and superior to
others. Being a male entails a great deal of privilege. At times, man is acceptable at work
since some of us have an ideology that man should lead. This poem helps me broaden my
perspective on the importance of implementing gender equality and treating everyone
fairly regardless of their gender.

Between the two poems, Nancy Smith's first obviously has the superior verse when it
comes to highlighting gender roles. The poem eloquently illustrates the distinctions
between women and men. Nancy Smith's poetry eloquently articulates the opposing
viewpoints, which aids in my comprehension of both sides' arguments. Nancy Smith's
poetry may be improved if she expanded the examples. According to what I understand, the
first poem, "For Every Woman," focuses on the weight that society places on both genders.
Which we clearly observed on each line. Nancy Smith should present several points or
concepts that will assist the public in comprehending the opposing viewpoints of both
genders. Gender Equality is the most critical issue to tackle; both women and men should
have an equal right to pursue their interests. Combating discrimination for being a male or
woman is difficult due to the ideals imprinted on the minds of others. Stereotyping is one of
the most common things we perceive in other people. Men being trained from childhood to
man up and not express emotion would lead to nothing. Women being taught that their sole
purpose in life is to marry and have children demonstrates that gender equality must be
attained.
