Education is to learn your own set of skills and knowledge.
Lending a hand to people to learn
and supporting them discover new things is also an interpretation of it. Ignorance is detached through education. It also gives us the opportunity to broaden our capabilities. Education is a mental transfiguration. Discarding education means putting the training of the human intellect to an end because our mind was meant to be educated and a person is lacking if this is disregarded. Elementary school is the first and foremost stage of schooling and it is crucial in one's academic life. Important aspects of elementary education include; character development, critical thinking, logical judgements, communication and socialization skills, behavioural, social, cultural, cognitive, physical, and emotional development. Early education is focused on a child's preliminary stages in development. I want to discuss with you tonight why education in elementary schools is going to fail to thrive, and here’s why. Have you ever wondered why the education of students have been neglecting for the past years up to now? Do you wonder why students can be so naughty and disrespectful to their teachers while the teachers can’t do a thing? Have you asked yourself why a lot of people may have studied a lot of things but can’t use their learnings to do what’s right? Well, it’s all thanks to the law that the government recently implemented called “DepEd Child Protection Policy” and thanks to this, we are now experiencing this kind of education system that is slowly but steadily turning the world of education upside down. The progression of education used to be improving steadily but little did they know, there would come a time when all of this will start to crumble. Elementary students back in the day, used to be disciplined, well-behaved and knowledgeable in a way that they can decipher things whether it’s right or wrong. They continued to polish up as time goes on because of the strict guidance of teachers in their own teaching ways with corporal and verbal punishments. I can say that this are facts because we’ve been here before. However, DepEd Child Protection Policy has been implemented, therefore teachers can’t use punishments as a way to teach and discipline their students any longer. Most students are now taking studies lightly because they know that teachers can’t do the things they used to do. And if they did, they’ll lose their license making their hard work from the start of their career go for nothing. This puts our teachers in a disadvantage because there’s a law that protects their students while they don’t. I’m not saying that the Child protection policy should be removed just because we experienced punishments from school and that they don’t because it is horrifying. Bringing back what happened in the past could put children in a devastating matter or worse, have trauma. Another reason why the progression of education for elementary students is going down because the schedule of their classes compared to high school students are almost the same. The elementary students would be tired and too lazy because of the non-stop lectures from the teachers. I think that putting a short break between classes will make the information they have gathered process in their mind better compared to non-stop classes with only one break which is recess. Now that the process of their understanding to the lesson is better, we need something to boost up their morale. Setting up a couple of short but fun activities is an option. Kids hates boring stuffs so this thing would make things smoother for both the teacher and the student. Education should be taken seriously because these youngsters are going to be the hope for our country. Hard work and perseverance should be a must have quality for our beloved teachers so that teaching the students would be smoother. It is said that “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.:” There would be times were things are hard adjust into, but it will fine down the road. Better education means better opportunities that could ensure one’s future and eventually lift us up from poverty.
