What Is an Event Coordinator?

An event coordinator is a hands-on role within event management. Event

coordinators typically handle the details of events from start to finish, and work

closely with multiple stakeholders to make sure the event goes to plan.

Event Host Responsibilities:

1. Discuss the budget and expectations with management and staff.


2. Research vendors and make selections based on their creativity, quality, and
cost
3. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
4. Schedule staff and set up/clean-up crews for the day of the event.
5. Oversee each phase of the event to ensure it runs smoothly.
6. Process all invoices to make sure vendors are paid promptly.
7. Assisting with the planning, preparation, and organization of events.
8. Managing kitchen and serving staff.
9. Well dress code maintained in event day.
10. Receiving and directing guests to their seats.
11. Answering questions and addressing concerns of guests in a charming, polite
manner.
12. Ensuring that the event space is clean prior to and after the event.
13. Double-checking that all health safety measures are observed and that staffs
are well-versed in emergency protocols.
14. Creating a positive, relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy themselves.
15. Offering polite salutations to guests as they leave the venue.
16. Coordinating different teams and ensuring they all work together harmoniously
