Asking and answering / Co-operative reading & learning Communicative language teaching / Pair work Warm up (5 min) Greet the pupils, take the absences. Ask pupils How are you? Brainstorming: (10 min) First of all I am going to ask the students some of the vocabulary and grammar rule that they can remember from Unit 1. What types of sports and subjects can you find in our country? Then I am going to revise some of the grammar rules that I explained in unit 1 ex: conjugation of verb to be in affirmative, interrogative and negative form. Later I am going to explain what is required in each of the exercises in Language review 1 ex: Write the correct nationality: Spain - Spanish, Poland- Polish, Italy - Italian etc. In exercise 2 they are going to write school subjects in the picture ex: Science, English etc. In exercise they are going to complete sentences with the words given. Later they are going to identify and write down the sports in the picture. In order to review how to ask and answer personal information students are going to complete exercise 5 by choosing the correct response: Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you too.
