Hello, future civil servants!

Considering that you are not sufficiently prepared to occupy a position in the Public
Administration, I will initiate you in this training process.
First of all, you must know that the term Public Sector is the set of organizations and institutions
that are managed directly or indirectly by the state. The public sector represents collective or
public ownership, as opposed to the private sector (individual ownership of individuals or
companies). It is represented by the state through institutions, organizations and companies with
part or all of its capital of state origin.
Secondly, it is necessary to know how Public Management works, which represents the set of
operations and processes specifically aimed at managing the resources of public organizations or
entities. In this sense, both public companies and government institutions use their mechanisms
to carry out their organization and daily operation.
Thirdly, I will explain to you that the Public Administration carries out the implementation of the
government's public policy and from the point of view of the academic discipline it studies and
prepares public employees to work in the public service. As a "field of activity it has a diverse
scope" whose fundamental purpose is "to develop management and policies so that government
can function".
Therefore, the terms public sector, public management and public administration have an
important role in the activity of fulfilling and solving the needs of all citizens of a Territorial
Administrative Unit. Moreover, the three terms are differentiated by roles and activity objectives.
Therefore, I wish the four future civil servants the best of luck in dealing with the needs of
citizens with great professionalism.
