ASSIGNMENT 7 (Summary): Thoroughly summarize and reflect upon your entire 10 hour Field

Observation Placement.

My field observation proved helpful by giving me a chance to observe a teaching environment before
entering the teaching field. I had a chance to sit off to the side and see the day-to-day schedule of a
second-grade class and ways in which their teacher incorporates different learning strategies. I had the
chance to join in the class in an assembly during Native American month, during their outdoor science
lessons, and even got to see some special guest physical trainers come out and talk to their grade
about healthy eating and exercise. The most enjoyable parts were getting to watch classroom
instruction and observe their individual work time. These were the times I was really able to see how
much the students were academically capable with only a small amount of guidance from their teacher
needed.
