RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Introduction
This chapter explains various methodologies that were used in gathering data and
analysis which are relevant to the research. The methodologies will include areas such
as the location of the study, research design, sampling and sample size, types of data,
data collection method and its management.
Research Design
This study descriptive research design is defined as a method that describes the
characteristics of the population that is being studied. As was used where data was
collected from the respondents at one point in time. This design always focuses more
on what of the research subject rather than the why of the research subject (Babbie,
1990).
Area of Study
This study was carried out at Botolan National High School. The rationale behind this
choice is from the topic itself and also for us to come up with our schoolmates
experiences first before others. Hence, there are possibilities that this study can be
conducted in any school.
Research Approach/Strategy
There are two types of research approach according to Kombo (2006) i.e. quantitative
approach, this technique uses numerical data or data that can be quantified and
qualitative approach that uses non-numerical data or data that have not been
quantified. The researcher used quantitative approach which they find more easy and
feasible for them at the same time for their respondents. By this approach both
researchers and respondents won’t have a hard time conducting and answering the
study,
