WHO AM I

I am simple man, living an ordinary life. But I’m a man full of determinations and
ambitions.

My story began on February 27, 1992. My mother gave birth to me but they broke up
with my father eventually for some reasons. I am living with my adoptive parents. They
are the ones who raised me, feed and provided my needs the best that they could, with
love and tender care. They treated me as their true child. As I could remember, they
always reminded me to study well so that I could have a better life in the future.

But my story is not a bed of roses. There were lots of ups and downs. The hardest
time was when my adoptive mother died due to some illness. It was really painful for
me to accept the fact that she was gone. That was the time I lived with my own at the
age of 10 because my adoptive father got a new partner. This time I lived in a bahay
kubo where only animals are my companion situated in the mountain. You could only
hear the breeze of the wind and sounds of different insects. That was the time I
learned to cook on my own and took care of myself. I lived independently. That was
the time I also experienced so many things that a child shouldn’t have.

Before I went to college I worked in different companies for five years. Without any
knowledge I was able to work well because I’m determined to do it. I need to do it to
sustain my needs and somehow help my father. It helped me practice to associate with
other people. There, I met different people. Speaking of college life, I’d been through so
many trials before I finished. I remember, there were times I budget my un-budgetable
allowance in order to survive. But I believe it is part of my ladder to success.

Despite those challenges in my life, I continue to be grateful to our omnipotent God.

Because it taught me a lot. I learned from it to keep dreaming and never give up. It
also inspires me to maintain my humility at all times since we truly don't know each
person's life story. It inspired me to work harder and achieve my goals, one of which is
to become a patrol man with pride and honor. Ever since I was little, this has been my
ideal career. I've wanted this my entire life, and I wanted to dedicate it to my devoted
parents in accordance with God's plan.

Right now, my heart is filled with the burning desire to realize my goals. I will pursue
my dream no matter what. I believe that nothing is impossible with God.
