COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING (CAD) – DRAW 23A

Major Plate No. 2 – Structural Plans

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the basic concepts of drawing structural plans

2. Apply the drawing aids and basic commands in creating the plans
3. Understand minimum standard requirements used in structural plans.

Instruction:

1. Create Structural plans using the Architectural plans drawn in major plate no. 1 as your
reference.

2. Structural plans should include the following:

 Foundation Plan (Assume minimum footing size: 1500 mm x 1500 mm)
 Second Floor Framing Plan
 Third Floor Framing Plan
 Roof Beam Plan

3. Apply accordingly the proper layers and properties to clearly define the basic components of
the structural plans.

4. All drawings above should be in one drawing (DWG) file only and unit of measurement is in
millimeter (mm).

5. Submit and upload the Drawing (DWG) file of plans in your own created folder under the “Major
Plates” in your respective Google drive per section.

6. File naming should follow the format as: Surname 1_Surname 2_Plate #2
Scoring Rubric:

Composition/ Design/ Planning – 30%

Drawing Accuracy – 30%

Creativity – 20%

Completeness & Neatness – 20%

Total – 100%
