Topic: Should parents limit teenager’s use of social media

Should parents restrict the use of social media for teenagers? That is a typical inquiry that is posed to as
often as possible in a world taking off with new innovation and new virtual entertainment destinations.
Today, teenagers live in a highly controlled technological world. At the point when you look around, you
generally see a substantial amount of people scrolling on through their phone, barely paying attention to
their surrounding environment and I have to say that sometimes I find myself in this situation as well.
Everyday, new progression and application managing innovation are coming out that change social
capability and ability. Social media sites including Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are at
their peak when influencing young adults. Progressing issues, cyberbullying, dangers, and disdain
violations are being introduced through these online entertainment locales and this is one of the huge
number of motivations behind why guardians ought to restrict the utilization of innovation for their
youngsters. I agree that parents should limit the use of social media for their teenage child, or for any age
child, because ongoing use causes lack of exercise, impaired social skills, and harm for threat and
violence.

Parents should restrict the use of social media sites for their children because the first reason is many
teenagers would get addicted if they use social media without realizing that social media will reduce
social relation among others. Most parents believe that social media is important for their children to have
more friends. Teenagers will be motivated to learn developing themselves through friends they meet via
online, because here they interact and receive feedback from one another. But in fact, most of teenagers
prefer to connect via social networks rather than meet their friends face to face. They frequently utilize
informal community to communicate their sentiments, feelings and some other exercises like playing
internet games. To forestall the more terrible dangers, giving clarification and understanding about the
risky of online entertainment is one of far that guardians can do to forestall the dependence in teenagers.
Many teenagers who addicted to the usage of social media tend to get depression and anxiety. This
connects with idealism and separation. Teenagers who are depressed may use social as a type of ‘self-
medication’ allowing themselves to escape and run away from the problems they are currently facing. In
fact, when they log off of this social media, they are indirectly led to the further depression that the
problem is still in its place. his can prompt further misery or uneasiness when they 'log off' as they
actually still can't seem to deal with their concerns and putting off issues frequently just exacerbates them.

Teenagers have an Ease of access to most social networking sites. Social media platforms have remained
the primary medium for spontaneous emotion and expression. Some people can make up for their lack of
popularity in the real world by becoming popular on social networks by updating their status with a lot of
abstract friends. The impact can also be felt by their friends; the more well-known someone is, the higher
their popularity level. The fact that most studies have shown that social media have a negative effect on
the health of users, particularly teenagers, is a contentious issue that is prevalent on these platforms. The
person's daily activities are confronted with more negativity as a result of their increased use of social
media, according to the research. In addition, they experience lower levels of general life satisfaction.
Bringing this case to our attention, the parents need to pay close attention to the smallest details to make
sure their teens are on the right track or the young people, web-based entertainment has turned into a
fundamental component of human contractarians must assist in restricting it and ensuring teens are safe
online because of its effects on their children's well-being. Social media has become an important factor
of human interaction, especially for teenagers. By the presence of these social media, many of negative
effects appear and that cannot be avoided. The three reasons above are enough to show the parents that
they should limits the use of social media. It is a must for parents to help teenagers in restricting
themselves in. So, keep our teenagers safe online
