plant or animal naturally or normally
lives and grows.
Why do animals live in certain places?
All organisms need to adapt to their
habitat to be able to survive.
Animals that live on land are called
terrestrial animals. Some land animals
live in grassland, forest or even in our
houses some burrow on rocks, sand or
caves. How do land animals survive in the
environment? Land animals have different
body parts that help them adopt to land
condition.
Some animals are covered with fur
to keep them warm. Others are
covered with feathers. Some have
smooth skins for breathing like
worms. Most body coverings of
animals are for protection.
How animal’s body part helps to adapt in
their particular habitat?

A habitat is a place where an organism makes its
home. A habitat meets all the environmental
conditions an organism needs to survive.

Animals have body parts for moving like legs for

walking and wings for flying.

Land or terrestrial animals have lungs for breathing.

Would it be possible for these
land animals to live in other
habitat?
No, because their body structures
are adapted only to land.
An adaptation is a way an animal's body
helps it survive, or live, in its
environment.
Assignment:
