Strategy Teacher’s Dialogue Student’s Dialogue

1. Introduction of the LESSON OBJECTIVES

Lesson and At the end of the discussion, the students
Presentation of are expected to:
Objectives
a. Identify what animals live on land,
b. To Infer that animals have different
body structures that make them adapt
to land
c. Follow the direction and the activities
given.
2. Lesson Proper Based on the activity that you had, can you A habitat is a place where an organism
define what is habitat? makes its home.
Why do animals live in certain places?

to be able to survive.

How animal’s body part helps to adapt in

That was great! Nice observation students. help them find food, water, mates, and shel-

Now, let us proceed with the discussion
proper. I know that you already have the
idea about the Body Parts of Animals that
live on Land but let us discuss the topic
further.

A habitat is a place where an organism

makes its home. A habitat meets all the
environmental conditions an organism
needs to survive.

The animal body has many parts, and each

one has a different name and function.
Many animals we know have eyes, nose,
mouth, ears, and limbs.

Common animals found at home or in

school has different body parts. Each body
part has different functions and uses.

The cat uses its legs for walking and

running and paws for climbing and
grooming.

The dog uses its tail for communication and

legs for running and walking.

The chicken uses its claws for scratching

the ground for food and beak for getting
food.

Animals have body parts for moving like

legs for walking and wings for flying.
Land or terrestrial animals have lungs for
breathing.

I will group you into three groups.

Group 1 will get 5 pictures of animals in the

box that live on land and paste it in the Venn
Diagram.

Group 2 will write five examples of animals

that lives in water in the Venn Diagram

Group 3 will paste the names of the animals

that live both on land and water.

The teacher will select random students to

answer on the given questions.

4. Generalization Again, who among you can define habitat? the place or environment where a plant or
animal naturally or normally lives and grows

Would it be possible for these land animals No because their body structures are
to live in other habitat? adapted only to land.

Can you give me at least 3 examples of Cow
animals that live on land? Dog
