INTRODUCTION

Current State:

One of the industries most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic is tourism, which has a

negative influence on all continents' economies, livelihoods, public services, and opportunities.

Every link in its extensive value chain has been affected. Perete claimed that although Cagsawa

Ruins is a self-sufficient economic activity of the local government, it has been severely

impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak, like all other operators in the tourism industry. According to

him, it might take the tourist destination up to 11 months to make up for its losses.

Problem of the Field:

After three months of lock down in the year 2020, Cagsawa Ruins opened its doors to

visitors. Yet, because COVID-19 is still a hazard, the local authorities warned visitors to follow

health precautions, including the use of face masks and physical distance. After complying with

health and safety regulations and obtaining a certificate of authority to operate from the

Department of Tourism, hotels and other lodging facilities in Bicol have also started operating

again. They are using social media platforms to help revive the region's once-thriving tourism

sector, which used to draw both domestic and foreign visitors. However, the Cagsawa Ruins

continue to have lower visitor numbers than they experienced prior to the Covid 19.
