LESSON: PHRASES and CLAUSES of PURPOSE (UNIT 12 – ENGLISH 10) CLASS: 10A2 TIME: 45 MINUTES
NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 42 AGE OF STUDENTS: 16 LEVEL: PRE-INTERMEDIATE – INTERMEDIATE
CLASS PROFILE:
The majority of students are active and have a pretty good command of English. Some are obedient and hard-working. Some tend to make noise
during class time. The class enjoys the active atmosphere and competitive activities or games in order to get bonus marks or presents.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
 understand the use of phrases and clauses of purpose.
 conjugate the verbs in their correct forms.
 apply the structures in sentence transformations as a way to enrich their use of English.
 be able to use the structures in speaking and writing.
