Role-play the dialog with your teacher twice, and learn the highlighted expressions by heart.

Jill: Do you plan to study abroad, Larry?


Larry: Yes. Actually, this upcoming summer I’ll be going to Australia.
Jill: Wow, that’s cool! So how do you feel about it? Are you nervous?
Larry: I’m really excited because it’ll be my first time on a plane! And it’s going to be my
first time going out of the country as well. I’m nervous and excited at the same time.
Jill: How did you make up your mind? Was it difficult for you?
Larry: Well, sort of. My mom was terribly worried about me!

TI: Take turns to play both characters. Emphasize and repeat the highlighted expressions.

Suppose you are talking with your friend who studied abroad. Use the vocabulary and expressions
