D. DISCUSSION
So, you can already infer meaning of
unfamiliar words using prefix or suffix, but
what if the word has neither prefix or suffix?
It can be difficult right?
Like how you answered our previous
activity, you use certain words in the same
sentence that described the unfamiliar word.
These words served as the clues in the
sentences.
Aside from using the dictionary, another
way of learning the meaning of an
unfamiliar word is through noting context
clues. Are you familiar of it? So, what are Context Clues are hints that appear in
context clues? sentences or paragraph to help the readers to
understand the meaning of unfamiliar word.
Context clues can be found either before or
after the unfamiliar words.
There are different types of context clues,
each are different according on how it is
used in sentences.

Just remember the word IDEAS.
