Capital halls of quackery

Salas is one of the 12 districts of the Province of Lambayeque, known as the capital of

curanderismo due to the quality and existence of sorcerers in the area. In the center of its main

park is a statue of a sorcerer; In front of the park we find the main church San Francisco de Asís,

it has a police station, a medical post, a small market and its Callaypoma stadium.

The District of Salas has tourist places such as the "Dos Reinas" waterfall located in the

village of El Sauce, La Poza La Encantada, which is located in the populated center of La

Ramada, they are beautiful places to enjoy with the family.

In the district of Salas, two patron fairs are celebrated, on January 4, 5, 6 and 7, the

Festivity of the Niño Dios de Reyes, this is celebrated in the same district. Tribute to the Cross of

Yanahuanca from August 16 to 22, this is celebrated in the Penachí Poblado Center, where we

can enjoy the different activities, we can also visit the Niño Dios de Reyes Museum, and the

cave of the cross on the Yanahuanca hill.

Salas is also identified by its beautiful landscapes and its agriculture, the crops that we

find are sugar cane, coffee, oregano, corn, citrus, mango, beans, ect. In this district, products

derived from sugar cane are made, such as Chancaca, yonque and organic panela.
