in this NGO and what do you helping people in rural areas, I really want to
think to involve this NGO contribute to people in need, and I want to help
them to realize their small dreams.

Last Thursday on 8 September 2022, me and my friends interviewed the booth of the Yayasan Teman Baik
Jakarta. We ask about the issues that exitst in the community. A brief history of the Foundation working
in Jakarta in early 2013, almost two years later now the Foundation is a team of 9 people who work every
day with some of the children, youth, and very marginalized families in the city. The issues raised by the
Foundation are about education and community welfare. An example of this education is a child who
enters school but cannot attend school, then the child will be financed by the school. That includes their
safety and comfort as long as they live.
While welfare is in the form of support for teenagers who drop out of school, do not get a job, then the
Foundation will be given a suitable job recommendation for them by the Foundation. Likewise, for
parents who are unemployed and have no income for their children's living expenses or their children's
school fees, they will also be assisted through training to open a business and the Foundation will provide
support for that person. The foundations themselves do not make money for their own benefit, but
instead provide donations in the form of capital and support to those who want to work and start
businesses. The minimum capital is in the form of transportation and food fees which will be provided by
the Foundation and do not need to be returned. SThe Foundation's location is in matraman and bridge
village (Cipinang Besar Selatan). The foundation targets residents who are on the edge of the river, on the
edge of the railroad tracks or graves that become villages. The funding is based on companies that need
CSR, for example when the Foundation is running a program, the Foundation will advise the company to
be able to make social donations. Social issues that exist in the community are high, the company will
usually set aside 1% of salary for social activities that it is not known where it will be distributed, and that
is what sponsors the Foundation to get funds. The main people involved are the community members of
the Foundation, all of the existing issues are also obtained from the reports of those who work in the
community. On the other hand, there are also people themselves who report that they are in need. The
neighborhood also gave authority to the Foundation to work in the humanitarian field.
I chose this NGO because I am very interested in helping people in rural areas, I really want to contribute
to people in need, and I want to help them to realize their small dreams. Actually, all foundations in
Jakarta or its surroundings also have the same vision, mission and goals, namely helping others, they also
want to help and contribute so that none of us are different but equal, such as education and the other.
