C. Learning strategies
Opening Activities
1. Warm-up: Students participate in a dynamic called ”plane” SS write simple words in English about
what they have learnt and then ss make a paper plane. SS toss the plane several times around the
classroom and after 2mins ss pick up the planes and read the words. (7min)
2. Review: Students review last topic by identifying and naming objects from the big book builder.
(3min)

Middle Activities
3. Speaking: students participate in a dynamic called “do you like?” teacher plays a moving song and SS
start walking around the classroom. When the song stops, they find a partner and say what they like the
most. Teacher writes the options on the board (a pen/a pencil… a book/ a notebook… a crayon/a color)

4. Vocabulary: Students look at some number cards while listening
the name of each number from 1-6. Then, they repeat the
numbers and points them out several times.(5min)
5. Games:
a. Quizzing: Students show numbers with their fingers and ask others to say the
number in English. They practice several times by changing partners. (5min)
b. Rock scissor paper 1-2-3: SS are in pairs and play several times this game till one of them wins 3
times, the winners will receive a candy. (5min)
6. Listening: Have students distinguish between two objects. Ask them to put a check on the object that
you mention. “Pen”, “ruler”. Then check students understanding. Repeat the words several times so that
students can get the words (5min)

Closing Activities
7. Dice game: Students play with a dice and roll it. The say the number they get in English. (5min)
D. Homework:
Students are asked to complete count and circle the right number for each picture
