So now we will proceed to the next which is I will be discussing the meaning of Competency-
Based Training (CBT), the 10 principle of Competency-Based Training (CBT) ,the role of a
trainer, role of the trainee and of course the qualification that you are enrolled..

So first , What is CBT? CBT stands for competency based training (definition)
Explain: So, it is focuses more on the outcome rather than the process, and it is student
centered.

Next is the 10 principle of Competency-Based Training (CBT)

1. it is mean that all qualifications are set with the competency standards.
2.of course from the word Modular meaning everything that you need to learn about this
course is already in the modular. So you should finish the first, before you can go to the next.
3. training delivery is learner centered which means you guys as trainee will be the one to
perform in every activities that we will do in this course got it?
4.of course if you are enrolled in Dressmaking NC II expected that you are will be performing
the task that i will be given to you.
5.it means that the material etchetera2x that we will using in this course is provided by the
tesda.
6.as what I did earlier I already give you a pre Assessment test for me to know your prior
knowledge in this course.
7. meaning you can work in immersion, W/ the professionals or in the actual training center.
8. Yes! If you have the prior knowledge in the qualification you are enrolled, its ok! Because
your advance.
9. of course you as a trainee after you passed this course you are allowed or free to take
another course whatever you wanted
And last.
10. All programs in tesda are registered in UTPRAS, meaning we can use it abroad.

CBT PROCESS FLOW:

Student enter program so here as what we are doing right now I already orienting you about
the things that you need to know about this course right? And later on I will be explaining to
you the role of the trainer and the trainee. next is I will be administering the RPL and TNA just
what I did earlier I already give you a pre Assessment test for me to know your prior knowledge
in this course so that I can identify the need that I will be using.

So now I will be discussing the Role of the Trainer word Trainer means ME as your trainer
right.?
#1.serve as a team member means in every team there is one member who leads you to the
right path or way meaning im not your trainer here I am one of your member that helps you to
improve your skills.
#2. Meaning I will be your #1 ultimate fan to motivate you to tell you that its okay to not be
okay. okay?
#3. I will not provide everything, but I will be consulting and facilitate you from time to time.
#4. Here as your trainer I will help you if you have concerns or problem in this course okay?
#5. As your trainer I will be evaluating your achievement whether you are competent or not yet
competent.
#6. So whenever you’re competent enough, I will be placing letter “C” corresponding to your
name as a reward of your achievement.
#7 as your trainer I will assist you and help you define the career goals you want to achieve.
#8. As what I’ve said in # 2. I will be your #1 ultimate fan when it comes to this course.
#9 meaning as a trainer, I need to show my trainee all the positivity being a trainer, so that I can
served as role model.
#10. So, I will be interacting with you from time to time, so that I know if ever you have
problem or none.
#11. Here of course if you have some concerns or problem please don’t hesitate to approach
me because if you will not approach me how will I know if you have concerns in this thing right?
So feel free to ask don’t worry I don’t bite.
#12 of course it is always the responsibility of the trainer

Now, let us discuss your role as a trainee.

#1. You are free to choose on your own learning as long as it is in the duration.
#2. In every learners they have this special talent when it comes in learning whether it is slow or
fast.
#3. I will be recognizing those trainees who has prior knowledge & give credits.
#4. You, as a trainee has your own style of learning.
#5. You have the freedom to do what you want to learn, and how are you going to learn it as
long as w/ in the duration.
#6. Simply means, whenever you feel that your competent enough, you can approach me as to
perform the desired task.
#11. You can move freely, in the training center if ever you want to be familiar with working
area
#12. In here you are able to assess yourself whether you are okay in it or not.
#13. You have the freedom to do here as long as you do not destroy the things.
#14. So I can diagnose your problem and I can help those who really need help.
