Question Findings
1 91.7% of my students agreed or strongly agreed that I use their
mistakes as a chance for them all to learn. I always make it known in
my classroom that it is ok to make mistakes and that we will learn
from them.

2 76.4% of my students agreed or strongly agreed that their class work

is hard but not too hard for them. I try to always make my lesson plans
as grade level appropriate as possible. Seeing my students feedback
proves that I challenge my students in all lessons to improve all their
skills.

3 76.4% of my students agreed or strongly agreed that I use things that

interest them to explain hard ideas. Most of our units stress skill work
first before any game play. I always make it aware that there is a
purpose for our skills work and that we will progress to game play.

4 75% of my students agreed or strongly agreed that they can show

their learning in many ways. This question is difficult to answer for any
physical education class, but I have students show their learning in
written assessments and class discussions.

5 27.7% of students disagreed or strongly disagreed that they can do

more challenging work when waiting for others to finish. I always like
to keep my classes moving so that we can get through our lesson and
leave room for discussion. I feel as though there was never really any
time where students had to wait for their peers to finish an activity.

6 85.9% of students agreed or strongly agreed that their peers help

them learn. During our units I would have students turn and talk to
solve problems. I also have done cooperative learning for students to
understand harder topics.

7 91.1% of students agreed or strongly agreed that when the class

doesn’t understand something, the teacher explains it in a different
way. I believe I do a good job at adjusting to all my students' needs
when it comes to directions. I have multiple teacher and student
demos, along with a video at times.

8 90.3% of students agreed or strongly agreed that I still encourage

them even when their work is not their best. I never know what my
students' lives look like outside of my class room, especially if they are
fighting battles at home. I try my best to talk to my individual students
who have consistent bad days and I do everything I can to assure
them that they’re doing a great job.

9 77.8% of students agreed or strongly agreed that they teach others

how they solved a problem. During our conclusion discussions, I
always try to ask if students had anything they wanted to share. I also
indulge in many turn and talks for students to solve problems
together.

10 85.9% of my students agreed or strongly agreed that I show my

students how to respect each other's opinions. Some of my students
are extremely athletic while some are not. I always try to pair these
students up so that they can learn from each other. With this they
learn to respect all students in all skill levels.

Overall Reflection

I really enjoyed seeing my students' feedback. I believe it is important to

learn from your students because in the end they are the ones being
impacted by your teachings and there is always room for improvement. My
students' responses are a good reflection on my teaching and they’ve also
shown me what I need to reflect on and improve. My students have shown
me that I do a great job creating a safe learning environment in my
classroom that is affected by all 3 domains. They have also taught me that
it is ok to slow down with my teaching and some students may need extra
time with an activity. I’ve also learned that each class has a wide variety of
skill levels, and on my lesson plans I should implement more modifications
for all students. I believe I did a good job at having high expectations for my
students. I used a lot of challenge by choice activities and almost always
my students chose to engage in more difficult activities, and they usually
ended up seeing success! My biggest project this semester was building a
positive relationship between my students and physical education. I take
great pride in my results from this challenge. My students felt a huge
increase in their confidence in my class room and I hope that this can carry
on when I leave. Not only did my students build up their confidence, I did
as well. I am a totally different educator from the day I first walked into
Mosiers gym. I stand tall with confidence and I take even more pride in my
work and efforts. I will never forget my students who helped me grow from
a student teacher into a fully licensed physical education teacher.
