Faith based writing The Global Philosophy Paper. I never understood how to meld technology with my educational philosophy. Also, in later readings of The Beautiful Tree, the author discusses why technology is not appropriate (at present) in many third world countries. Also, check all the online links before the next course, as several did not work during the 8 weeks of the course. Oh, I almost forgot. Having to post supportive comments to my illiterate classmates' posts was a drag. We're required to post a minimum of two comments per discussion, that no other students likely read. All I usually wanted to write was, Your writing stinks. Even though you may have good ideas, I just focus on how poorly you write. How do you expect to teach our children when you can't write a decent paragraph? Question: The least beneficial assignment was...because... Field experience, I felt that this was a calling I may have to work with adults. Field experience!! I stepped out of the box and visited ESL classes in night classes! I now want to volunteer with programs like this. Field experience Reading The Beautiful Tree because it is a well-written, interesting, and important book. Question: The most beneficial assignment was...because... The videos of the different children around the world and their educational experiences All of them! They were very interesting. Symbaloo project reading The Beautiful Tree. Question: My favorite class session was...because... My eyes have been open to how education works around the world You are the best instructor I have had to date! I always fell accomplished and ready for the world after completing your courses. She makes learning interesting and worth the time spent reading the class material. She cares about her students and her Christian values. She is amazing. N/a To many writing projects None The roundtable discussion video The Future of Technology and Education. It was 6-7 years old, and some of the material covered was out-of-date. Don't get me started on the weaknesses of an online course. It's a gawdawful way to educate and/or learn. Question: The weaknesses of the course were... Variety of medias used in teaching The overall information provided was extremely valuable. The use if technology to turn in assignments as well as the abundant information given to us on subject matter. The text, The Beautiful Tree. Also was Time for School: Part 3. Many of the readings were useful and/or interesting. The assigned readings and videos online were mostly useful and interesting, the text is a masterpiece, and Dr. Nordstrom is very approachable, understanding, and helpful. Instead of so many writing projects I would have enjoyed creating something with the information learned. I enjoyed this class, and I was reminded of why we teach.
