Question: What skills and understanding have you gained from this course?
(ENGL 1033) Bettered my abilities to research and use sources to write essays
(ENGL 1033) The main skill that this course has taught me is that of preparation and pre-writing for papers. Both of these elements help tremendously in
creating well researched and well thought out work. If nothing else, while they themselves can consume a large amount of time, they ultimately make for a
speedier and more streamlined writing process.
(ENGL 1033) Chalenneging myself with writing different, more complex writing topics.
(ENGL 1033) How to write a good thesis
(ENGL 1033) learning to budget time, also how to better use the prewriting process
(ENGL 1033) I can't say that I learned much from this course. This is less attributable to the course curriculum, or Professor Acosta-Ponce than to the fact
that I had an extensive grasp of MLA writing prior to entering college.
(ENGL 1033) I learned a lot from this class and he is a good professor
(ENGL 1033) This course has given me a reminder on the things I need to work on in order to be an efficient writer.

Carlos
Acosta (ENGL 1033) The instructor's style of teaching was very beneficial- keeping a casual environment where anyone can speak was very beneficial, especially
Ponce, when someone did not understand something. I believe that nobody was afraid of asking a question if they did not understand something, which is important.
Carlos Mr. AP is such an amazing teacher, and probably the best one I've had all semester long
Question: What improvements could the instructor have made to enhance your learning?
Acosta
Ponce, (ENGL 1033) Spaced things out a little more but it was still a manageable pace

(ENGL 1033) I would have liked more in-depth, specific feedback on the papers that I wrote for the course. While I certainly appreciate the good grades that

I received on all the papers, I know there were elements in each that could have been improved.

(ENGL 1033) Maybe we could’ve added another piece of literature to compare to watchmen. Talking about watchmen for a while got a little boring a few

Question: What skills and understanding have you gained from this course?
(ENGL 3003) Writing
(ENGL 3003) how to writing in profession?
(ENGL 3003) In general being able to write professionally. In particular, writing memos.
(ENGL 3003) I learned various forms of technical writing. I gained understanding of the core concepts of technical
writing.
(ENGL 3003) I have gained experience and understanding of several different writing techniques and I have in
general improved at writing
Question: Additional comments about this class
(ENGL 3003) Great class. I didnt have to watch class lectures every other day. I learn pretty much exclusively from
assignments, so I got everything I would have gotten from a normal class in a much more compact format.
Question: What did the instructor do well that contributed to your learning?
Acosta
Ponce, (ENGL 3003) Was quick in responding to e-mails.
Carlos
(ENGL 3003) The instructor communicated often and clearly. The instructor responded very quickly to emails with
Acosta very helpful answers. The instructor provided lots of information and templates for assignments. The instructor
Ponce, graded assignments quickly and fairly with useful feedback. The instructor provided clear grading criteria for
Carlos assignments. The instructor was overall extremely helpful to my learning, and I greatly appreciate the effort and care
the instructor gave the students.
Question: What improvements could the instructor have made to enhance your learning?
Acosta (ENGL 3003) I think that in particular for the research proposal, having more than two days between the rough draft
Ponce, and final draft would be useful. Some of the other assignments were much less time consuming so possibly shifting
Carlos the schedule to add a bit longer time period for the research proposal would be useful.

Question: What skills and understanding have you gained from this course?
(ENGL 3003) Honestly, nothing. The course did not teach me anything that a quick Google search could not have
achieved. This course felt like a waste of my time, and is one of the reasons I feel TU needs to re-evaluate the way
they handle prerequisite classes. If my scholarships did not cover my tuition, I would feel cheated out of my money.
(ENGL 3003) How to write a Business Memo, Executive Summary, and how to give a better presentation
(ENGL 3003) Nothing. I have done all of this before, HERE AT TU. This class is pointless. It is basically a repeat of
the freshman course we took required for business.
(ENGL 3003) A lot of useful skills as far intraoffice communication
(ENGL 3003) How to professionally write different documents in the business field.
(ENGL 3003) Note
(ENGL 3003) Get more skill from business writing.
(ENGL 3003) how to write a report
(ENGL 3003) Basic professional writing formats
(ENGL 3003) Technical memo writing
(ENGL 3003) Improving my writing skills.
Question: Additional comments about this class
(ENGL 3003) The course is poorly designed and frustratingly wastes time.
(ENGL 3003) I feel like this course could be an accelerated course. Have more assignments due during the week,
and could end by spring break.
(ENGL 3003) I repeat that this class is pointless and a waste of time.
Question: What did the instructor do well that contributed to your learning?

Question: What improvements could the instructor have made to enhance your learning?
Acosta (ENGL 3003) Again, this is not an issue with the instructor. The fact that this evaluation does not ask anything about
Ponce, how to improve the course specifically proves to me that TU does not care. I feel that this course was not only a
Carlos waste of my time, but cheats students out of their money while offering nothing in return.

(ENGL 3003) Great class. Great lecturing points.
(ENGL 3003) How to properly write an resume and a professional report
(ENGL 3003) Writing recommendation reports
(ENGL 3003) Powerpoints and books were helpful and helped me to learn the concepts
(ENGL 3003) I learned how to write things like memos which is useful.
(ENGL 3003) ENGL 3003 has improved my writing skills based on a business issue. It helps me to think critically.
Also, I had some chances to do presentation in front of class and work with groups so that I have practiced my
public speaking skills and cooperation skills.
Question: Additional comments about this class
(ENGL 3003) This class is poorly structured with poorly worded and though out assignments. The instructor is not
responsible for this because he just has to teach what is given to him for this class. The booklet material for this
class is not a good method for the students and needs to be redone or scrapped.
Question: What did the instructor do well that contributed to your learning?

other classes and even when I enter into the workplace. Also, the arrangement of personal and group meeting
