CONJUNCTIONS

(Used for CONNECTING TWO WORDS or A GROUP OF WORDS)

and -
Example:
Peter and Mario are friends.

moreover –
Example:
He is nice; moreover, he is rich.

both –
Example:
The two girls are nice, both are promising.

and both –
Example:
Kathy and Cindy prepared well and both performed at par.

and, not only that, but also -


Example:
Conchita and Cory are well liked and, not only that, but also appreciated.

and also –
Example:
Kitty and Jelly are twins and also very identical.

as well as –
Example:
The leader, as well as his subordinates, is ready.

furthermore; moreover; in addition –


Examples:
I am frustrated; furthermore, I lost my enthusiasm already.
I have collected so many already; moreover, I want some more.
Tell me what you want; in addition, you may suggest your own idea.

besides -
Example:
We need to prepare well; besides, this is our final evaluation.

likewise –
Example:
I was instructed to lead, likewise Celso.
