LEARNER’S BEHAVIOUR
Business English Learners are adults categorized through need analysis. Thus, classroom
activities should be learner-centered and interactive. Learners’ needs should be determined to
reduce doubts and confusion. Activities like info-filling exercises, making placards, problem-
solving tasks, case studies, and gathering information from resources, can be employed for
student participation. Addressing immediate office needs can reduce learners' not interested
attitude and make them focus. When learners are comfortable in the class affective filters will
reduce eventually.
Business English classes usually have mixed levels of trainees. We need to filter them through
need analysis so that we can address each of their needs. Increasing student talk time and
decreasing teachers' talk time can improve the trainees' performances. Activities like interviews
and informal discussions will subgroup them and help monitor their learning capacities and
confidence in tackling a situation. Individual, pair, group, or class activities in between can
maintain the energy level.
Management’s altered decision can project in the course and can cause inconvenience,
minimize friction, maximize student faith and fortify their participation. If the management
changes the program venue, explain the detrimental factors and suggest an alternate venue.
Including and excluding trainees without prior information can cause jeopardy to the classes.
Though instructors can’t do much about this, regular reminders can reduce such situations and
continue a frictionless program.
The situations you have mentioned are fine. The trainer should be capable off handling these
situations. The trainer should also be able to keep the trainees motivated throughout the training
session so that there is no absenteeism.

Multinational Company. Write in detail how you will conduct a need analysis for the said group.
Who would you approach and what are the methods and techniques you will use and why? (500

Needs analysis depends on the company and the trainees that were given to us. Interviewing
the immediate authority accountable or to whom we will be reporting, such as the internal
coordinator or intern manager, is the first step. Understanding what the business expects its
employees to accomplish by the end of the training is important for their own benefit.
The following questions will be directed toward the company for each medium:
The next step is to interview the trainees individually through need analysis.
