The celebrity whom I admire the most is Kim Nam Joon, or RM, a member of
the Korean boy band BTS. Besides being the leader of the group, he is also a
talented male rapper, songwriter, and music producer. I first heard about him
three years ago. RM can pull off almost any clothing style, from a charming,
lovely boy to an attractive gentleman. In addition to his handsome look and
leadership skills, he possesses a high IQ of 151, he taught himself how to speak
fluent English, and successfully attained a TOEIC score of 900 because of his
unrelenting effort in many years. But all in all, I think what I love the most
about RM is that he always shows concern for other people.

essay, both benefit drawbacks will be dicussed in more depth. One the one the
one hand, by living in urban areas, people would have countless opportunities.
First of all, they could be easier to find a good job with a high salary. For

It is obvious that many people in urban areas are suffering from air pollution,
water pollution, and noise pollution. Additionally, crime is another problem
for people in metropolises. The rates of dangerous crimes are getting higher

“Talk about a famous place”

My first visit to Nha Trang, the coastal city, was three years ago. It was a
pleasant and memorable trip. Nha Trang, the capital of Khanh Hoa province,
has one of the most popular municipal beaches in all of Viet Nam. In Nha
Trang, nature’s beauty is so tempting. Waves crashing onto the cliffs, the soft
sigh of the sea breeze, clean white sands, and turquoise waters, it all makes for
a stunning landscape. On my visit to Nha Trang, I used to get up early each
morning to stroll along the beach - a chance to breathe in the fresh sea air and
enjoy the sunrise across the water. One attraction that captivated me three
years ago and still does is the collection of small offshore islands, that is Hon
Tre, where is the largest of the islands. Nha Trang is a city in harmony, its fine
weather, favorite position and friendly people bring it a certain balance. Nha
Trang is a great holiday destination. I hope to have a chance to come back

my first year in high school. To this day, I still remember the first time I met
her was on the campus. At first, I thought she was not talkative and shy.
However, as I got to know her more, I realized that Mai was a very loveable

person and trustworthy. In fact, we share a lot in common such as: talkable,
witty, dreamy. When it comes to personality, I and Mai are complete opposite.
While very reserved, I am approachable. For me, one of Mai’s most
admirable traits is that she is very honest.

“Talk about technology”

We can be sure that technology brings a lot of benefits in terms of

communication and entertainment, but I believe its biggest advantage is in
education. Because technological devices combined with the internet give
everyone the opportunity to learn. Internet access is not limited by location
and is much cheaper than traditional education. However, today, with a Wi-Fi
connection, almost any subject can be learned online from anywhere in the
world.
Do you think there are any disadvantages to technology?
I think everything has two sides. Despite its advantages, the technology
certainly has some major drawbacks. Nowadays, due to the development of
technology, people have become dependent on it for entertainment and fun.
Some people even become addicted to it, especially children. This is not good
for their health and development. Parents should limit the time they allow
their children to spend on these activities. That at all.

periods of time. It also opens up the knowledge door for me. When I am sad
or disheartened, I often mix myself with a book. I realize that life has many

Last summer, I spent about a week going to Vung Tau with my friends, and it

summer break. However, last year I decided to do something new before
coming home, and I had created great memories with my friends. We hired an
apartment, and it was very comfortable and convenient. We spent most of our
time hanging around and playing on the beach. Vung Tau was not a new place
to us, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the sights there. Therefore,
8
we went to many places such as the light house and pagodas, and we took a lot
of pictures. We ate out for the first two days, but later we decided to buy the
ingredients to cook at home. It was cheaper and more delicious, so we had a
chance to eat many kinds of seafood. We all went home after a week, but it
was such a great experience that we are planning on doing it again next year.

“Talk about your present place of living”
As a university student, living away from home is inevitable. Currently, I live
with my uncle and aunt. I am more fortunate than other students that I do not
have to rent a hostel. Living with relatives helps me have a pretty good life. I
don't have to prepare too many things when entering student life. Where I live
is a 3-storey house, 40km from home, on Bach Mai Street, a busy street in Hai
Ba Trung district of Hanoi. The current house is quite close to Thong Nhat
Park. Thanks to that, I can exercise every morning and admire the daily
beauty of Hanoi. I am a person who likes to cook, but my house is near the
market, so I often go to the market to buy food to cook. The market is about 1
block from my house. Making friends with my aunt's modern kitchen helped
me improve my cooking skills significantly. I live on the 3rd floor of the house,
so my room has a very beautiful view of the street. I planted many trees on the
balcony. Talking more about where I live, the neighbors are extremely
friendly. My neighbor once helped me fix my motorbike when it couldn't
start, so I wasn't late for school that day. The place where I work part-time is
also close to home. So now I really enjoy living where I live a convenient life,
close neighbors, and most of all, I'm not too far from my family

“Talk about your English class”
I would like to talk about a lesson in English that I enjoyed when I was still in
high school. I must admit that I was weak in English, so I determined to
improve this subject by attending some English classes.
At first, I had doubts about the new teaching method and wondered whether
it was effective. But the lesson went amazingly well by her meticulous
instruction.
I learned many topics. I had to learn many new words for this topic and then
we went on to revise grammar structures such as Inversion, articles which are
also a tricky grammatical point. At the end of lesson, she gave me a short quiz
so that I could have a good grasp of what I had just learned.
The most fascinating thing in my online lesson was the level of interactive
learning. Although many people believe that studying online hinders the
interaction between teachers and learners, I think that such an attitude is
behind the times. I was always relaxed and participated more actively in
discussion with my teachers. Moreover, online learning does not only save
time and cost but also brings to surpass face-to-face-learning in efficiency.

can meet a lot of people who have interests similar to yours, comment on the
books or novels that interest you. My love for books started at the age of ten
years old. I was awarded “Alice in wonderland” by Lewis Carroll by my
mom. It is the first book that I have seen. I do not know how many times I
read it. I always hope that I will have my own library in the future. I love
books very much and perhaps I couldn’t live without them.

“Talk about an interesting book”
I am going to talk about a book that I’ve read recently. It is a Vietnamese
coming-of-age novel called “Mắt Biếc”, which can be literally translated into
Vietnamese as “Blue Eyes”. The novel revolves around an unrequited love
story between Ngạn, a country boy, and Hà Lan, his neighbor, childhood
friend and lifelong crush. Ngạn and Hà Lan grow up together in a remote
village in the Central region of Vietnam. Ngạn develops a strong love, which
later becomes obsession, towards Hà Lan, the girl whose eyes he adores since
the very first time they meet. Although they spend their childhood and
adolescence together, they later lead a very different life during their
adulthood. While Ngạn still cherishes the slow-paced life of his village, Hà Lan
fails to resist the allure and glamour of city life. She ends up falling in love
with a playboy named Dũng, has a baby with him and leaves the child under
the protection of her grandmom and, guess what, his lifelong crush Ngạn.
Ngạn raises her daughter like his own child just to realize at the end of the
story that he is just trying to create another version of his beloved Hà Lan. I
really love this novel since I can see parts of younger self in it the author’s
depiction of the 1990’s Vietnamese life is just brilliant. The movie adapted
from the book is going to be released this December

“Talk about pros and cons of travelling by train”
There are many reasons for me to say that “rail travel is an advantageous
form of transport”. First, it takes you a moderate price for long trips. Of
course, trains’ ticket is cheaper than planes or ships. By costing cheap,
railway become the wonderful way to go around and visit your country.
Getting on a train isn’t a luxurious dream even though you are poor. Then, on
special occasions, you can be together with your family who live far apart
from you. Second, travelling by train is fast and safe. Its speed can attain
hundreds of kilometers an hour and just run independently on a rail so you
could feel secure about the safety. Finally, Rail travel has many comfortable
things. There are both seat cabin and sleeper cabin – two choices for you. The
trains are like a mobile restaurant or hotel with many services such as selling
foods, drinks and even souvenirs, and there are restrooms too. During the
trips, you have TVs to relax. The train’s cabin is large and long, so you are
allowed to go around while doing the exercise. Especially, you will never get
travel sick like carsick or seasick, the air in the cabin not very different from
the fresh air outside. For this information I give, I believe that you will be
thinking about one time exploring by train. With me, travelling by train is
always the tiptop mean of transport. How about you? Why don’t you vote for
this wonderful transport.
