Oplan Pagbasa

Introduction:

Oplan Pagbasa is a readership initiative that aims to support existing

enrichment and remediation activities led by DepEd. It also serves as social

accountability platform that encourages community participation and

accountability by ensuring that every member of the community is aware of their

role in our children’s education.

Purpose:

 to make every learner a reader by engaging partners and stakeholders to

promote the culture of reading, and to improve the reading abilities and

comprehension skills of learners, particularly Kindergarten to Grade 6

students.

Description:

 The Oplan Pagbasa campaign aims to help Filipino children to become

functionally literate and contributes to empowering parents, caregivers,

community volunteers, and education stakeholders within the context of

transparency and local accountability by creating a link between partners

and vulnerable communities to support last-mile learners and ensure

access to after-school structured literacy development programs.

Support:

 The project will require between 100 to 150 pesos in funding. This covers the fare,

snacks, papers, and any further applicable expenses.
