The client is a leading trade facilitation entity in the Middle East. The client provides integrated  Test Scenarios/Cases
solutions to trade and logistics service providers. The client’s solutions log more than 19 million

The client required an integrated solution for warehouse operators and cargo owners that would  Reports
enable the warehouse operators to fill idle capacities and cargo owners to book warehouse online.
 Roles Management
The solution was required to have robust user and role management. The Warehouse Operators
could register their warehouses with ease and define the details of their warehouses without any  User Dashboards
third party support. The Cargo Owners should have the tools to locate, compare, book and utilize
 Payment Gateway Integration
the warehouse services. The Admin user should have access to all aspects of the solution and
facilitate the seamless working of the solution.

Solution Tools & Technology
Promenna was involved with the project from its conception. In the pre development stage,  Web Logic Application Server -
Promenna studied the requirements and created the Software Requirement Specifications, Test
Cases, Attribute Sheets, Design Mockups/Wireframe, and more to help the client in shaping the 12c
solution. The solution was divided into milestones and each milestone was further studied and

After finalization of the requirements, Promenna chose Java and AngularJS as the development  Hibernate - 4.3.x
tools to develop the solution. The solution has three user roles: Warehouse Operator (WO), Cargo
 Spring Boot - 1.3.5.RELEASE
Owner (CO), and the solution Admin.

The Warehouse Operators can easily register their warehouse(s) in the solution. The easy to use  Oracle Database - 11g
procedural registration form makes registering into the solution very easy for new users and
 AngularJS - 1.4.x
existing users alike.

The Warehouse can be compartmentalized into various warehouse types, thus enhancing the
chances of occupancy. For example a warehouse can have dry and cool sections, or could have a
section to keep chemicals and a cold storage section. The warehouse can have any combination of
sections. The Warehouse Operator can also keep certain cargo restrictions in the warehouse.
After the approval from the solution Admin user, the warehouse is available to all Cargo Owners.
The User Dashboard helps the Warehouse Operator to manage all actions on warehouses.

The Dashboard shows the most important information at the top of the page.
The Warehouse Operator can define the Cancellation Rules, Payment Terms, Warehouse storage
Types and Capacities, Services and their Price, and any Additional Charges.
The Warehouse Operator and the Cargo Owner negotiate the booking value before leasing the
warehouse space.
The Cargo Owner
The solution gives the Cargo Owners the functionality of searching for their exact cargo
requirements. The warehouse search options gives detailed information of the warehouses and the
Cargo Owner can also compare warehouses before booking.

After selecting the required warehouse, the Cargo Owner inputs the package details and can
negotiate the booking amount for the warehouse with the Warehouse Operator.
The user dashboard for the Cargo Owners shows all movement of cargo and informs the Cargo
Owner of pending payments/invoices.

Solution Admin
The Solution Admin manages the payment configuration, additional charges descriptions, and the
fees charged to the Warehouse Operators.

The Solution Admin manages all the Warehouse Operators and the Warehouses registered in the
system.
 Reports
The solution has a live reporting system that shows the real time data to all users in the system.
The Cargo Owners can view reports on the Inventory and Payments made to the Warehouse
Operator(s).
The Warehouse Operators can view reports on all cargo movements within their warehouse(s) and
the revenue that the Warehouse Operator has collected.
The Solution Admin has access to the Transaction Report which shows all Transactions performed
between all users in the system and the Revenue report which shows the revenue gained by the
Solution Admin.

Benefits
The Warehouse Booking System gave control to the client in bringing Warehouse Operators and
Cargo Owners on the same platform. The system with its seamless payment integration helped the
end users to keep a track of all payments and the integrated reporting system showed the real time
data.
The solution also provided the solution admin with comprehensive reports on all transactions and
cargo movement done by all users in the system.

Conclusion
The Warehouse Booking System enabled the client’s users, the Warehouse Operators and Cargo
Owners to connect through a single place. The solution records all information on cargo movement
and payments done by all users. The solution provided real time data and reports to the users and
the solution admin.
